The mission for the PLE / Engineering Project Manager is to clarify and fully understand contractual documents, coordinate and supervise engineering activities, minimize risk-exposure, create possibilities to increase the EBIT and maintain a good relationship with the customer by leading given promises and agreements made with the customer on time.
Responsible, within their subject area of the project, for the following :
- Compliance, understanding and clarifications of applicable parts of the contract (technical specifications and other relevant documentation)
- Management including coordination of appointed project team members.
- Secure that project execution is done in accordance to given technical responsibility of the line function and that project execution is done in accordance to official processes.
- Distribution of correct and relevant information / data to the project team and involved Dept-M’s in time in order to facilitate vital project engineering.
- All technical interfaces during project execution within assigned subject area.

Coordinate and continuously ensure the fulfillment of relevant technical specifications and other applicable contractual documents for the project, in order to minimize deviations between actual project scope and customer expectations.Coordinate engineering activities in the project in order to fulfill applicable engineering based on sprint time schedules and project main time schedule with maintained handover date to customer.Coordinate technical correspondence and discussions with customer, consortium partners and others involved in accordance to project requirements.Verify and summarize deviations / risks (internal and external) from a technical and economical point of view for assigned technical area in order to minimize risks for the project.Verify, prognose and advise PM, CPM and Dept-M about deviations in the order calculation for assigned part during startup of the project but also on a quarterly basis.Verify and advise PM about deviations between contract (technical specifications or other relevant documents) and actual project status (engineering).Assist the PM and the CPM with technical recommendations for external claims and possible change orders within the project.Continuously spread knowledge of the contract to others involved in the project and try to improve the use of standard in the delivery.Strive to keep a good relationship with the customer, in general but especially from a technical point of view by acting promptly and on time to fulfil given promises and agreements made with the customer.Encourage involved team members with a positive demeanour.The following activities, within respectively subject area, can be considered as normal for a PLE / EPM band are normally, with a few exceptions and based on scope, occurring in all projects.
Be a member of customer core team and remain in core team until handover of the project to service departmentHandling technical questions / issues from customer promptly and on time in accordance to given promises in order to keep the customer satisfied.Prepare technical information / documentation including needed working hours for additional sales possibilitiesCoordinate involved engineering resourcesClarify and report deviations between intended scope and customer contract, technical risks and possibilities within customer contract.Prepare technical project database (TPD) by reading and understanding customer contractInitiate vital set up of Comos and PLMInvite to, prepare and lead engineering startup meeting and engineering planning meeting, weekly engineering meetings and design freeze meetingPrepare, participate, supply with input and lead parts of technical clarification reviewWhat You Bring
Graduate in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent with proven track record of 15 - 20 years in Energy / Oil&Gas domain, mainly working with Gas TurbinesProven experience of 5+ years in Project execution as a LeadProven understanding on softwares like PLM2020, Teamcenter, SAPKnowledge or Certification in Lean and Six Sigma, PMP are preferred.
