Title : Software QA Test Architect
Location : India
A Software Test Architect is responsible to provide guidance and strategic direction for a test organization and for its relationship with other departments. The Architect will be driving the overall testing strategy, tools and technology selection for the application under test. The Test Architect provides technical leadership and support to design and implement automated CI / CD with tools. The architect drives to ensure code / component re-use by understanding the broader system environment, understanding infrastructure technologies and by driving component design. The architect models, documents and communicates all these concepts to QA and other members of the IS teams.
ACCOUNTABILITIES & ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- The software test architect works with IS leadership in setting QA strategies and direction.
- The software test architect drives the design of frameworks and integration with different applications to test complex platforms and systems by facilitating discussions with business analysts, developers, and business partners and by researching technologies, methodologies and products.
- The software test architect communicates designs, models, Application Program Interfaces, standards, diagrams, and plans to a broad audience of developers, QA analysts, and business analysts. The architect produces clear documentation in text and diagrams that are appropriate for
the intended audience.
The software test architect keeps abreast of technologies, languages, products, platforms, and technology trends that will drive innovation for Mouser.Ability to troubleshoot quality issues and modify test procedures based on the Root Cause Analysis.Ensure process improvements and compliance of the QA and participate in technical discussions or review.Develop the automation strategy / effort and generate scripts to perform automated testing.Leading the QA team to design and create test conditions, test data and test automation scripts to address business and technical use cases.Experience in Various Testing Phases- Functional, Regression, Integration, User Acceptance and Performance Testing.Ability to Define metrics, create reports, and develop statistics, for organizational reporting and monitoring of quality processes within QA department.Analyze existing QA quality processes and develop new or revised quality standards as needed. Envelops and maintains a productive work teams by hiring qualified personnel, training, and managing performance.SKILLS & CERTIFICATIONS
Highly effective team player.Assertive and have good interpersonal skills.Good at handling emotions and conflict negotiations.Expertise in testing techniques and review process.Ability to use a wide variety of open-source automation technologies and tools.Experience in automation testing frameworks and tools- Selenium, Playwright, BDD, pytest, QTP, Robot Framework, JMeter.Scripting using Python, VB Script, C, Java.Experience of testing REST / SOAP APIs.Implementation of Test Architecture and design.Strong experience in using XML schemas and documents.Knowledge of mobile application testing and frameworks.Knowledge of Model Based testing and performance engineering.Experience in enterprise data analysis, migration and Analytics.Experience with Test Data Management and masking of PII Data.REQUIREMENT
Bachelor’s degree in science or related field. Overall 12+ years of industry experience.3 + years Designing QA framework experience required.Internal candidates : Experience can be a combination of internal and external experience.Minimum 3 full year as a highly performing Software QA Lead / Sr. Software QA Analyst.Exposure to working in Agile, DevOps, and Continuous Delivery Environment. Hands on experience on DevOps QA implementation.ISTQB Advanced / Expert Level Certification is a plus like Agile Technical Tester / Implementing Test Process Improvement.This is a summary of the primary accountabilities and requirements for this position.
