Job Description : Job Profile :

  • Associate Director Engineering and Maintenance (Engineering Head) for Formulation Manufacturing facility based at Hyderabad Region.

    • Qualification & Experience

  • Master’s degree or bachelor’s degree in engineering. A management course will be preferred
  • Minimum 15-18 years of relevant industry experience

    • Exposure / Knowledge On

  • Proven experience of Heading Engineering & Maintenance Function from reputed pharma companies.
  • people manager, with exposure to handle team size of minimum 10-15 people.
  • Experience and knowledge of GxP regulated environment, exposure to USFDA / MHRA.
  • Exposure to work with people from different demographic locations and cultures

    • Roles & Responsibilities : (Key accountability areas)

  • Ensure all operations are carried out following laid down safety procedures.
  • Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules to ensure equipment reliability and performance.
  • Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and implement corrective actions to minimize downtime and production losses.
  • Coordinate calibration activities for critical equipment to maintain accuracy and compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Proactive maintenance – to ensure lower downtime and reduce downtime between failures.
  • Improve Utilities efficiencies.
  • Ensure continual improvements in the field of Utility costing, spare parts management, breakdowns, overall maintenance cost.
  • Improvise processes to improve resource utilization.
  • Ensure to execute modification / improvement ‘Projects’ in cost effective and timely manner.
  • Establish, monitor and improve engineering procurements, in a compliant way.
  • Optimize all engineering related outsourcing, help in creating a strong sustainable supplier data base.
  • Coordinate with various internal and external stake holders : viz. EHS, SCM, ENG, Production functions.
  • Ensure compliance with all laid down procedures, policies.
  • Prepare Budget for Engineering department (OPEX as well as CAPEX), rationalize the same; ensure to monitor the routine expenditures are within the approved Budget.
  • Derive Objectives for the Engineering department (aligning with organization’s Objectives) and KPIs to monitor each objective.
  • Recruit, train, manage, motivate and develop team to meet present and future needs.
  • Effectively contribute / drive in implementation of Operational Excellence at engineering department.
  • Handson experience in PLCs, SCADA, namely EMS, BMS.
  • Ensure to handle Sewage Treatment Plant / Effluent Treatment Plant in compliant and effective manner.

  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to lead and motivate a team of engineers and technicians.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and Strong ability to understand, influence and motivate people.
  • Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities to identify and address maintenance and operational challenges.
  • Proven ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously Commitment to safety, quality, and regulatory.
  • Exposure to work with people from different demographic locations and cultures.
  • Fluency in English (oral and written).
