- Your role, as a data modeler, will work with change initiatives across the organization to help them design solutions that meet our architecture principles and drive the Bank towards its desired target state.
- You will interact with engineers, architects and technology leads to drive those outcomes, taking a position of clear authority as a steward of the Data Architecture Strategy.
- You will leverage your data modelling experience to ensure our data is described and structured accurately and in the most efficient way possible also aligned with global industry standards.
- You will work closely with cloud engineers to design and develop the next generation of the data solutions, leveraging GCP capabilities.

Support the design of logical and physical models that enable data distribution, Data quality framework and data governance, Lineage.Assists with coordination of database changes within context of overall configuration management processGovern the release of data models into production and their subsequent adoption across the organization.Embed with change initiatives to support them through their design phases, ensuring they align to the target state architecture principles and blueprints.Develops and approves strategies for continuous improvement in data managementProvide guidance and leadership to perform analysis and provide solutionsProduce high quality architecture definitions that become the standards and guardrails that engineers across the Bank will work within.Work with architects and process owners in Group Architecture to enhance architectural governance and review processes for continuous driving towards target state data architectureMaintain the data Lineage though effective use of tools like Collibra, PowerDesigner, LegendIdentifying, recommending, and implementing emerging Modeling and IT trends, developments, tools and improvements / solutionsYour skills and experience
Experience of 10+ years in the following areas :
Database architecture, can include architectural experience linked to Application SDLC or close collaboration with Enterprise ArchitectsDatabase technologies like Oracle, PL / SQLData Modelling, ideally at an enterprise level but will also consider application specific.Exposure to cloud migrations, ideally GCP.Financial Services sector with detailed knowledge on specific banking products (such as Loans or Interest Rate Derivatives) or functions (such as Finance or Market Risk)Functional AnalysisSummarizing complex architecture / design related challenges for senior management consumptionStakeholder influencing & communications.Desired :
Experience working with data tools such as Collibra, Power Designer, Legend.Understanding of SDLC and technology concepts to allow effective close collaboration with engineers to resolve challenges.Data Products and Data Mesh, ideally via DataplexData virtualization and distributed queriesAI / ML architectureExperienced working with agile methodologiesBuilding on a very strong technical knowledge and experience base in the above areas candidates must be highly articulate and persuasive communicators, with strong collaboration and teamwork skills and a proven ability to manage the delivery of innovative solutions to a large, geographically diverse global enterprise.English written and verbal skills are mandatory; German is an added benefit.How we’ll support you
