About the Role :

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Assistant Manager / Public Policy Consultant to join our Government Advisory practice. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Bengaluru, offering an exciting opportunity to work on high-impact government initiatives and contribute directly to policy development and implementation.

You will play a crucial role in supporting senior government officials through rigorous analysis, strategic communication, stakeholder coordination, and effective project management. We are looking for a professional with a strong understanding of the public sector landscape in India and a proven ability to deliver results in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. Immediate joiners are preferred.

Key Responsibilities :

Policy Analysis and Conduct in-depth research and analysis on various policy areas, government schemes, and socio-economic issues.

  • Prepare concise, strategic presentations, reports, and policy briefs for senior government departments and officials, clearly articulating findings and recommendations.
  • Draft high-quality speaking points, briefing materials, and other communication collateral for senior government stakeholders.

Data Analysis and Insights :

  • Analyze medium to large-scale datasets using appropriate tools and techniques to derive actionable insights, identify trends, and support evidence-based policy recommendations.
  • Present complex data findings in an understandable and compelling manner through visualizations and clear narratives.
  • Stakeholder Coordination and Management :

  • Coordinate effectively with a diverse set of stakeholders, including multiple government departments at the central and state levels, non-government organizations, industry bodies, and subject matter experts.
  • Facilitate meetings, workshops, and consultations with stakeholders to gather information, build consensus, and drive project progress.
  • Project Management and Leadership :

  • Lead and manage a small to mid-sized project team, providing guidance, support, and oversight to ensure timely and quality deliverables.
  • Develop and manage project plans, timelines, and resources, ensuring projects are delivered within scope and budget.
  • Identify potential risks and challenges in project execution and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Consulting and Advisory :

  • Provide insightful advisory to government clients based on analysis and understanding of policy context and ground realities.
  • Contribute to the development of project proposals and engagement strategies.
  • Experience : Minimum of 5 years of relevant professional experience is required.

    Demonstrated experience in one or more of the following areas :

  • Working in Government Project Management Units (PMUs) or Program Management Offices (PMOs).
  • Public policy formulation, analysis, or implementation at the national or state level in India.
  • Investment promotion, economic research, or strategy consulting with a focus on government or public sector clients.
  • Managing projects involving multiple government and non-government degree is required in one of the following fields :
  • Business Administration
  • Public Policy
  • Information Technology
  • Economics or a closely related quantitative field will also be considered if combined with relevant work experience.
  • A Bachelors degree in Technology (B.Tech) or Engineering (B.E.) is preferred but not mandatory.

    Required Skills and Attributes :

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to synthesize complex information and develop practical recommendations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to prepare high-impact presentations and reports for senior officials.
  • Proven ability to coordinate and manage relationships with diverse stakeholders.
  • Strong project management and team leadership capabilities.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, R, Python) and presentation software (e.g., PowerPoint).
  • High level of professionalism, integrity, and discretion when working with sensitive government information.
  • Understanding of the Indian governance structure and policy-making processes.
