Trained Graduate Teacher (TGT) in English teaches English to students in grades 6–10 in both government and private schools. Their responsibilities include :
Teaching : Instructing students on the structure and content of the English language, including grammar, spelling, and composition rules. They also teach students how to identify themes, points of view, and other characteristics in texts.
Lesson planning : Creating lesson plans that are differentiated to accommodate all learners.
Assessing : Assessing, recording, and monitoring student progress.
Providing feedback : Providing constructive and targeted feedback to students, parents, and others.
Communicating : Communicating with parents at parents' evenings, in subject reports, and in other incidental meetings.
Maintaining resources : Maintaining materials and resources as needed.
Participating in extracurricular activities : Organizing and participating in school extracurricular activities.
Preparing for competitions : Preparing students for subject-based competitions and events.
TGTs are expected to have subject expertise and proficiency in pedagogy. They should also be fluent in English and proficient with computers.
