Turbostart is an early-stage venture fund backing high-potential startups from Pre-seed to Series A. Beyond being a VC fund, we’re an innovative ecosystem that blends the functions of an incubator, accelerator, venture studio, and funding partner, offering support tailored to each startup's unique path. We’re committed to partnering with ambitious founders driving transformational ventures. As we expand, we’re seeking dedicated undergraduate interns to join our Investment and Portfolio team and support the next wave of founders in India’s growing startup ecosystem.

Role Overview : As part of the Turbostart Student Venture Program, you’ll work closely with our Investment Associates, Leads and Partners. This role is designed to give you exposure to the world of venture capital and the startup ecosystem, allowing you to contribute to key stages of our investment process. Interns will support our team by helping identify promising startups, evaluating opportunities, and assisting with strategic initiatives for our portfolio companies.

Duration : 2 Months (with a scope for extension), starting from April 21, 2025. A PPO may be given to final year students who display exceptional performance.

Stipend : INR 20k per month

This is a remote internship and we expect selected candidates to represent Turbostart on their campuses whenever required. Time commitments for this role would be at least 6 hours in a day and will be flexible based on your college schedule. Keep in mind that working in venture capital is dynamic and unpredictable; some days may be very busy while others are relatively quiet. However, the workload tends to balance out over time, and we expect interns to embrace this flexibility.

We are dedicated to expanding access and ensuring inclusivity. As such, universities that hosted interns from our previous cohort, namely IIT Bombay, BITS Pilani, NIT Karnataka, IIM Bangalore, and SRCC, will not be eligible this time around.

Primary Responsibilities

Campus Scout Initiative : As part of our growing efforts, interns will also contribute to Turbostart’s Scout initiative on campuses, helping spread the word about our program, sourcing founders, and building a pipeline of promising student-led ventures. This initiative plays a vital role in connecting with early-stage entrepreneurs and fostering innovation at the grassroots level.

Market Research and Thesis Development : Work on analyzing industry sectors and emerging trends to support Turbostart’s investment thesis.

Investment Evaluation : Aid in reviewing potential investments, conducting initial research, and preparing insights to support the team’s decision-making.

Deal Sourcing : Leverage your network and research skills to help uncover high-potential startups, bringing fresh leads to the pipeline.

What We're Looking For

This role is ideal for someone who is highly passionate about the startup and venture capital ecosystem. If you’ve demonstrated this through previous internships, campus initiatives, or projects, that’s a great signal. This internship is only open for those in their final year, penultimate year or antepenultimate year of university education. First year students are not eligible.

We would also prioritise candidates with interest in AI, Robotics or Cybersecurity.
