Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Factory HR Head with a strong background in Industrial Relations (IR) to lead our HR function at our manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in managing IR issues, negotiating with unions, and developing strategies to promote positive employee relations.
Key Responsibilities :
1 Strategic HR Planning
a) Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with organizational goals.
b) Conduct workforce planning, succession planning, talent development and unit HR and Welfare budgets.
2. Industrial Relations
a) Manage collective bargaining agreements (LTAs) and labour negotiations.
b) Manage IR issues, including negotiations with unions, grievance handling, and conflict resolution.
b) Develop and implement strategies to promote positive employee relations and prevent IR issues.
3. Employee Relations
a) Foster positive employee relations through effective communication and engagement.
b) Address employee concerns, grievances, and conflicts.
c) Manage disciplinary actions as Certified Standing orders and performance improvement plans.
4. Recruitment and Staffing
Oversee recruitment processes, including job postings, interviews, and hiring.
5. Training and Development
a) Design and deliver training programs for factory employees.
b) Identify development needs and create growth opportunities.
6. Compliance and Risk Management
a) Ensure compliance with labour laws, regulations, and company policies.
b) Identify and mitigate potential IR-related risks.
Requirements
Experience
1. 15+ years of HR experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
2. Proven track record in managing IR issues and negotiating with unions.
Skills
1. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
2. Proficient in HR software and Microsoft Office.
3. Knowledge of labor laws, regulations, and IR best practices.
