Job Description And Responsibilities

As a Senior Manager, you will be part of Finance Technology - Financial Planning & Analysis Team and will provide hands-on leadership to the team to build our NextGen planning system in an agile development environment by hiring and building a world-class team of engineers, defining, executing and delivering functional and non-functional features at scale quickly and promoting a culture of cross-functional collaboration and engineering excellence. This position is based in Bengaluru and will report to the Sr. Director of Software Engineering.

Essential Functions

Strong technology and leadership background building enterprise scale applications using Java, Spring boot, REST APIs, RDBMS, and Angular / React., NoSQL, Data Pipelines desirable.

Responsible for the overall development life cycle of the solution and manage complex products with significant bottom-line impact

Work closely and cross collaborate with teams in various time zones.

Work with product managers in developing a strategy and road map to provide compelling capabilities that help them succeed in their business goals.

Work closely with engineers to develop the best technical design and approach for new product development.

Instill best practices for software development and documentation, assure designs meet requirements, and deliver high quality work on tight schedules.

Project management : prioritization, planning of projects and features, stakeholder management and tracking of external commitments

Operational Excellence : monitoring & operation of production services

Identify opportunities for further enhancements and refinements to standards and processes.

Mentor junior team members, develop departmental procedures and best practices standards.

Hire and retain world class talents to deliver data platform projects.

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership / site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

8+ years of relevant work experience and a Bachelors degree, OR 11+ years of relevant work experience

Preferred Qualifications

9 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor Degree or 7 or more relevant years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 3 or more years of experience with a PhD

Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as computer science, computer

engineering or related field required. Advanced degree preferred

Requires 10+ years of experience, at least 2 of which were in leading engineering teams

Ability to handle multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced environment

A deep understanding of end-to-end software development in a team, and a record of accomplishment of shipping software on time

Experience working in an Agile and Test-Driven Development environment. Strong business and technical vision

Expertise with the Java 8 platform or higher

Experience building large scale, highly available production software, specifically with Java based Full stack technologies such Angular, java / kotlin with spring, REST, JSON, XML, SQL and NOSQL technologies.

Knowledge on bigdata technologies, Machine learning, Gen-AI (generative artificial intelligence) (generative artificial intelligence) will be a plus

Strong analytical, problem solving and communication / articulation and reporting skills.

Strong business acumen, ability to grasp big picture and explain to team in simple terms.

Ability to manage multiple competing top priorities in a fast-paced environment.
