BrightEdge is seeking an experienced SEO Consultant to join our Professional Services team. In this role, you'll work directly with leading brands to drive meaningful improvements in their organic search performance through technical and content strategies. As a key strategic partner, you'll inspire clients to take action on data-driven insights, helping them achieve measurable outcomes while deepening their engagement with the BrightEdge platform. Working closely with Customer Success, you'll play a vital role in supporting platform adoption and long-term client retention.

Key Responsibilities

Strategy and Performance

  • Act as a strategic consultant, helping clients translate SEO data into meaningful, business-aligned actions that drive measurable impact
  • Develop comprehensive technical and content strategies tailored to each client's goals, backed by data-driven insights
  • Deliver standard SEO engagements including keyword research and gap analysis, on-page optimization, technical site audits, traffic drop investigations, and content strategy development
  • Lead quarterly business reviews and strategic check-ins, aligning SEO progress with client KPIs and business priorities
  • Collaborate with Customer Success to ensure clients achieve maximum value from the BrightEdge platform, using your strategic recommendations to drive platform adoption, client satisfaction, and long-term retention

Technical SEO and Content Optimization

  • Recommend and implement on-page SEO updates such as title tags, headers, and internal links
  • Coordinate with content teams to provide SEO requirements and recommendations
  • Collaborate on optimizing content structure and internal linking strategies
  • Perform technical SEO audits and identify issues related to crawlability, indexation, and site architecture
  • Identify and recommend improvements related to Core Web Vitals and overall site performance using tools such as Google PageSpeed Insights, Lighthouse, and Chrome DevTools
  • Provide guidance on structured data and schema markup implementation using tools like Schema.org validator and Rich Results Test
  • Keyword Research and Analysis

  • Conduct keyword research and develop topic clusters based on search intent
  • Map keywords to pages and track performance against goals
  • Analyze competitive landscapes and share insights with clients and team members
  • Reporting and Client Communication

  • Create and deliver clear, actionable performance reports
  • Present insights and recommendations to clients with clarity and confidence
  • Build strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Requirements

    Experience and Skills

  • 5+ years of experience in SEO or 10+ years in digital marketing, with a strong understanding of enterprise-level SEO challenges
  • Proven track record of improving organic performance across complex websites
  • A consultative mindset with experience working directly with clients or internal stakeholders
  • Strong data analysis skills, with the ability to interpret performance metrics and provide actionable insights
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including experience presenting SEO recommendations to executives
  • Familiarity with tools such as BrightEdge, Google Search Console, Google Analytics (GA4), Screaming Frog, SEMrush, and Ahrefs
  • Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, and data visualization tools to create clear and compelling client reports
  • Ability to work US EST / PST Time Zone (4 PM IST to 1 AM IST). Please note that this is mandatory and we do not give any night shift allowance for the same.
  • Technical Knowledge

  • Solid understanding of web architecture, crawlability, indexation, and site structure
  • Experience implementing or advising on structured data and schema markup
  • Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript; familiarity with technical troubleshooting tools like Chrome DevTools
  • Experience with Core Web Vitals and performance analysis using Lighthouse, PageSpeed Insights, and related tools
  • Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in a SaaS company or a technology-driven marketing environment
  • Exposure to AI-driven SEO strategies, SQL, or additional web development technologies
