Job description

Key Responsibilities :

  • Design, develop, test, and deploy web applications using Oracle APEX.
  • Collaborate with business analysts, stakeholders, and project managers to gather requirements and translate them into APEX-based solutions.
  • Develop complex SQL queries, PL / SQL procedures, and integration solutions.
  • Ensure database and application performance optimization.
  • Create reusable APEX components such as reports, forms, charts, and dashboards.
  • Perform unit testing, debugging, and troubleshooting of APEX applications.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers.
  • Develop and maintain detailed documentation for APEX projects, system architecture, and development processes.
  • Work with third-party APIs and integrate external services.
  • Ensure compliance with security standards and best practices in database management and application development.
  • Participate in code reviews, ensuring adherence to development best practices.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless deployment and operational support of APEX applications.
  • Continuously stay updated on new Oracle APEX features and industry best practices.

Required Skills and Qualifications :

  • Education : Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).

    • Experience :

  • Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience with Oracle APEX development.
  • Extensive experience in PL / SQL development, including writing stored procedures, functions, and triggers.
  • Solid understanding of Oracle database design, architecture, and optimization techniques.
  • Experience with RESTful APIs and integrating third-party services into Oracle APEX.
  • Familiarity with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) and other cloud technologies is a plus.

    • Skills :

  • Strong proficiency in Oracle APEX (versions 5.x and higher).
  • Expertise in SQL and PL / SQL.
  • Ability to design and implement user-friendly web interfaces with Oracle APEX.
  • Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).
  • Familiarity with web technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
  • Knowledge of security best practices in APEX applications and database management.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

    • Desired Qualifications :

  • Experience with Oracle APEX plug-ins, web services, and custom JavaScript.
  • Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
  • Experience with data modeling and database administration.
  • Understanding of business intelligence concepts and experience with Oracle BI tools (optional).
