Lam offers a variety of work location models based on the needs of each role. Our hybrid roles combine the benefits of on-site collaboration with colleagues and the flexibility to work remotely and fall into two categories – On-site Flex and Virtual Flex. ‘On-site Flex’ you’ll work 3+ days per week on-site at a Lam or customer / supplier location, with the opportunity to work remotely for the balance of the week. ‘Virtual Flex’ you’ll work 1-2 days per week on-site at a Lam or customer / supplier location, and remotely the rest of the time.

The Impact You’ll Make

Lam Research is a leading global manufacturer of capital equipment used in making leading-edge-semiconductors across the world. We primarily compete in four specific areas – deposition, etch, photoresist strip, and single wafer clean.

This position will be based out of Lam India office in Bangalore and will be closely working with the Engineering, Product Management & Cross functional teams across global regions of Lam Research like US & India to manage all aspects of support on the obsolescence on the OEM components.

Program Manager for Obsolescence are key contributors in managing obsolescence issue throughout the life cycle of the product. The role serves as a liaison between Product Managers, Engineering, Supply chain and OB Engineering Service team by driving end to end management of the obsolesce issue, while executing LTB, Deferred, Running a project on the complex OB issue.

Job Responsibilities

  • Programs manage the Obsolescence Problem report (PR) of Platform products in coordination with Product Management, Engineering, OB Engineering service team and Supply chain.
  • Review the Problem report of the obsolescence issue notified by the Supplier and OB Engineering service team for the LTB opportunity, Business impact and Engineering project.
  • Create Last Time Buy Plan of record based on the business impact and monitor the inventory consumption to avoid inventory scrap.
  • Execution of Part Change Notification to the customer
  • Supporting the Controls LTB POR across PG
  • Bulk CO execution as part of common project within PMOB team
  • Drive project with engineering on the complex PR through EPL or PPL.
  • Timely communication of project priorities in alignment with system business needs to the Product management leadership.
  • Monthly report to the stakeholders on the OB PR status.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s in mechanical / automotive / electrical / industrial / production engineering with minimum 5 years of relevant experience (or) Master’s with minimum 3 years of relevant experience.
  • Good experience in Product life cycle management (Obsolescence management) and strong program management skills and good experience / exposure to Electro-mechanical components.
  • Demonstrates sound business judgement acumen, with an ability to analyze business cases, analyze and optimize financial impact.
  • Demonstrated ability to create project plans, optimize resource allocation and prioritize across multiple projects.
  • Demonstrated skill in decision making and problem solving in the absence of complete or accurate data, with a bias towards action.
  • Excellent Presentation and communication skills (both written and verbal)
  • Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in semiconductor capital equipment industry will be preferred
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Experience in engineering product development projects, preferably across multiple geographies
