Meet the Team

The Application Team at Silicon Labs which is spread across several different geographical locations, focuses on improving the overall customer support and experience of the Silicon Labs IoT Product line. The Silicon Labs IoT products contain all the wireless (Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE), Bluetooth Classic, Bluetooth Mesh, Wi-Fi, Zigbee, OpenThread, Wi-Sun, Z-Wave, and proprietary protocols) and 32-bit micro-controller (MCU) software required to build end products for the Internet of Things (IoT) Market. Silicon Labs Application Team works closely with the Engineering teams to ensure a deep understanding of the product, features, and system functionality. Also, the Application team enables the customers towards production by providing proactive technical support for the products on their use cases.

Responsibilities

Closely collaborating with customers and enabling them with effective technical support for their use cases

Investigating and understanding complex new features by reading the documentation discussing with development, and designing the reference application use case

Work closely with the Project Management team on release planning.

Understand the market requirements, analyze the competitor offerings, and propose them for product improvements.

Skills You Will Need

Good technical understanding of Bluetooth Low Energy protocol

Experience with C, RTOS, and scripting languages such as Python

Exceptional communication skills

Experience with various MCUs and peripheral knowledge is a plus.

Experience with salesforce, task management, and bug-tracking systems such as Jira

Experience with team leading and coordinating experience is a plus.

IoT Domain knowledge is a plus.

Challenges you will solve

Design and execute functional, performance, and feature-specific applications for Silicon Lab’s embedded wireless and MCU products.

Work closely with the respective engineering team(s) to debug customer-reported issues.

Emulate customer environments by working closely with the sales team and field application engineers in supporting customers’ needs and debugging customer’s problems.

Align with the customer requirements and use cases.

Education and / or Experience

Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Computer Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or related field

6+ years of work experience or master’s degree +4 years’ experience as a SW Developer or SW Application Developer in Bluetooth or Customer support Engineering
