Senior Engineer - Mechanical Engineer (RCC)
PRIMARY PURPOSE OF THE ROLE :
He / She performs a subset of all the engineering activities required to design and develop RCC (Racks, Cabinets and Consoles) components / modules as part of solution, achieving customer satisfaction of the delivered solution / product.
You will be an experienced Mechanical Engineer with a degree or equivalent, who have a solid understanding of Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering principals and of Engineering Development lifecycles.
Demonstrable experience in operating within highly regulated sectors, ideally Maritime, Defense or Aerospace.
Experienced in 3D Cad Systems, ideally using CREO / CATIA.
Fundamental understanding of Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering principals.
General understanding of Engineering Development lifecycles.
Experience in one or more of the following areas :
Packaging of electronics and associated cabling.
Designing for platform installation.
Design of racks or cabinets
Design of consoles
Designing of assembly and mould tooling.
Designing of lifting equipment
Experience in the design of sonar assemblies and / or equipment for the sub-sea environment would be highly advantageous.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASK :
Carry out mechanical design activities in a team environment with other engineers. Work collaboratively with production and procurement to produce cost effective, easy to manufacture design solutions.
Trials and integration support.
Work collaboratively with production and procurement to produce cost effective, easy to manufacture design solutions.
Monitor compliance of designs against target costs and lead time.
Contributes to the Change Management of the product development.
SKILLS REQUIRED : ESSENTIAL
CAD TOOLS, CATIA, PRO-E, UG, SOLIDWORKS, AUTOCAD, MASTERCAM, INVENTOR
MANUFACTURING - DFM, Jigs and Fixtures Analysis Stress Analysis, Stack Up Analysis, Thermal and Flow Analysis, Weight Analysis
DESIRABLE :
Has formidable manufacturing experience and has exposure to technologies like 3D printing, electromechanical systems.

Education Qualification : B.E Mechanical Engineering with right skills
Year of Experience : 5 to 8 years of strong design and industrial experience
