Job descriptionEducational Qualification : Bachelor s degree in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent). Professional Experience : Over 10 years of experience postgraduation with at least 5 years dedicated to substation design and engineering at 400KV voltage levels or above. Handson experience in designing 765KV substations is highly preferred. Technical Proficiency : Expertise in outdoor AIS and indoor GIS substation systems. Thorough knowledge of design considerations and equipment used in substations . Tools and Standards : Familiarity with international and Indian standards including BIS IEC IEEE CBIP CEA ANSI ASME NBC and NFPA .
Job Title : Manager (Electrical Design & Engineering) Substations (Primary Engineering)
Location : Gurgaon
Compensation : Up to 15 LPA
Key Responsibilities :
- Design Expertise
- Develop designs and drawings for EHV substations including both AIS (Air Insulated Substations) and GIS (Gas Insulated Substations) .
- Interpret reports and client specifications to formulate clear and actionable design requirements.
- Ensure compliance with design considerations for various equipment such as switchgear transformers reactors and control & protection systems used in substations.
- Technical Knowledge
- Strong understanding of electrical (primary and secondary) engineering requirements for substations with voltage levels of 400KV or higher.
- Familiarity with relevant standards and norms (e.g. BIS IEC IEEE CBIP CEA ANSI ASME NBC NFPA).
- Basic knowledge of EHV transmission lines and their integration with substations.
- CrossDisciplinary Collaboration
- Interface between electrical civil structural and mechanical systems to ensure seamless integration in substation projects.
- Assess safety aspects during the design phase.
- Review and Analysis
- Prepare and review drawings design documents and quantity estimations.
- Conduct root cause analysis for failures in electrical equipment and suggest corrective actions.
