Job Description :

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented DataStage Developer with 5–7 years of experience in designing, developing, and optimizing ETL processes using IBM DataStage. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data integration, transformation, and loading strategies, and should be capable of collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure data quality, consistency, and availability.

Key Responsibilities :

Design, develop, test, and deploy ETL jobs using IBM InfoSphere DataStage.
Understand and analyze business requirements and convert them into technical specifications.
Perform data extraction, transformation, and loading from various data sources including relational databases, flat files, and APIs.
Develop reusable components and frameworks to support scalable ETL pipelines.
Monitor and maintain ETL jobs to ensure high performance and reliability.
Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks and ETL job failures.
Ensure data integrity and accuracy through thorough testing and validation.
Collaborate with Data Architects, Business Analysts, and QA teams.
Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members.
Maintain documentation of ETL processes, data flows, and technical solutions.

Required Skills :

5–7 years of hands-on experience with IBM InfoSphere DataStage (v11.x or higher).

Strong SQL skills and experience with relational databases (e.g., DB2, Oracle, SQL Server, etc.).

Proficient in performance tuning of ETL jobs and database queries.

Experience with job scheduling tools (e.g., Control-M, Autosys).

Familiarity with Unix / Linux shell scripting.

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills.

Good understanding of data warehousing concepts and data modeling.

Preferred Qualifications :

Experience in Agile / Scrum methodologies.

Knowledge of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and cloud-based ETL / integration tools.

Experience with version control tools like Git.

Exposure to data governance, metadata management, and data quality frameworks.

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Master’s degree is a plus.

Data Stage Certification
