Job Overview : As the Head Chef of our restaurant, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of kitchen operations, food preparation, and ensuring the highest standards of culinary excellence. Your culinary expertise, leadership skills, and passion for European cuisine will play a pivotal role in creating a memorable dining experience for our guests.Key Responsibilities :
- Kitchen Management : - Manage kitchen staff, including training, and scheduling. - Delegate tasks and responsibilities effectively, ensuring a smooth workflow. - Monitor inventory, order supplies, and manage kitchen budgets efficiently.
- Cost Control : - Monitor food costs and kitchen expenses, working to optimize efficiency. - Implement portion control and waste reduction strategies.
- Quality Assurance : - Conduct regular quality assessments to maintain the highest standards in taste, presentation, and service. - Address and resolve any kitchen-related issues promptly.
- Collaboration : - Collaborate with restaurant management to ensure a seamless dining experience for guests. - Work closely with the front-of-house staff to provide menu knowledge.
- Health and Safety Compliance : - Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations, including food safety and sanitation. - Oversee regular kitchen inspections and maintenance .
Qualifications : - Proven experience as a Head Chef or Sous chef in a European cuisine-focused restaurant.- Extensive knowledge of European culinary traditions and techniques.- Strong leadership and team management skills.- Creativity and a passion for creating unique and memorable dishes.- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.- Strong organisational and time management abilities.- Knowledge of food cost control and inventory management.- Culinary degree or relevant certifications preferred.
