Job description

Role Description

The Lead Engineer SQA is a critical role in the Digital technology team of Carrier. This role predominantly works on both manual and automation testing by writing various test scripts.

Responsibilities :

  • Execute programs and automated scripts for testing purposes
  • Develop automation scripts to align with acceptance criteria
  • Functional test new products and regression test existing products during each QA release cycle
  • Assist with the testing, documenting, defect tracking and information flow during each QA cycle
  • Assist with development of new automation tools and maintaining existing automation tools
  • Gain proficient knowledge of system functionality
  • Actively contribute to ongoing process improvement to help streamline the development life cycle
  • Participate in Scrum ceremonies and discuss about the defects with details with the development team

Basic Qualifications & Experience :

  • At least 7 years of professional experience in QA
  • At least 4 years of experience creating and maintaining test tooling
  • At least 4 years of experience with QA or performance engineering
  • At least 2 years of experience testing cloud native software
  • B.E / B.Tech / MCA or equivalent in Computer Science / IT or related field.
