Senior Manager, Application Development

About the Role

The Senior Manager, GTM Close development team will be based out of Workday’s Pune location and will be responsible for Development team delivery. This hands-on technical leadership role demands excellent knowledge to lead a team of software developers, technical project manager / scrum master, and other growing team roles. In this role you will be responsible for managing a team that is focused on delivering world-class applications built on Salesforce platform and its eco-system. The position requires direct hands-on experience leading full lifecycle application development, strong technical acumen, performance optimization, critical incident resolution, and environment & release management functions. It is also critical candidate has adept staff and vendor management skills (MSP Management background a plus), a deep commitment to end-user satisfaction, disciplined follow-up, outstanding communication skills with all levels of management, and strong understanding of ITIL.

The role also involves building relationships with key Delivery Leads and all IT staff to ensure that IT-delivered services and end-user productivity goals are understood and exceeded.

About You

Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to :

• Leading the design and development of solutions on the Apttus CPQ and Salesforce.com platform
• Build out the Apttus CPQ platform and Salesforce platform to ensure productivity and enhance end user experience
• Identify complex problems and create / suggest solutions to resolve them
• Leading the integration of the platform with 3rd party applications and other tools
• Lead the evaluation of vendors for establishing a Managed Services model
• Ensures infrastructure architecture standards maximize efficiency and support platform compatibility.
• Coordinates delivery of services to user groups and ensures IT service is uninterrupted.
• Selects, develops, and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function.
• Manage a team of Full-Stack Software Developers, you will ensure they are empowered to deliver solutions that meet user and business requirements

Adopt modern software development best practices and technology to drive towards an integrated quote-to-order experience
