Based on our continued growth, we currently have an exciting opportunity for an P&C Consultant in a Private Equity (PE) Firm to join our People & Culture team in a remote capacity. We are looking for a highly skilled HR professional based in India, to support and manage various HR coordination needs within the organization. who will report directly to the People & Partner.
As a member of Empowerists, The P&C Consultant / HR Analyst in a Private Equity (PE) Firm will play a key role in supporting HR initiatives during periods of change, helping the organization adapt to new structures, processes, and business needs across multiple regions, including Canada, the USA, and India. You will oversee day-to-day HR activities such as employee onboarding, benefits administration, and compliance while ensuring the company culture and employee experience are aligned with Empowerists' core values and objectives.
Key Responsibilities :
Day-to-Day HR Tasks / Employee Relations :
- Serve as the first point of contact for employee queries and concerns, offering clear guidance on HR policies, processes, and organizational expectations.
- Support the timely resolution of employee issues, ensuring confidentiality and promoting a positive, inclusive workplace culture.
Onboarding Support :
Coordinate and facilitate a smooth onboarding experience for new hires, ensuring all necessary documentation, system setups, and training schedules are completed on time.Lead engaging orientation sessions, introducing new employees to the company’s culture, policies, and tools, while fostering a welcoming environment.HR Administration :
Maintain up-to-date and accurate employee records, including employment contracts, performance evaluations, and benefits enrollment, ensuring compliance with company standards and legal regulations.Database Entry and Support
Accurately input and maintain HR data across relevant systems, ensuring data integrity and compliance with data protection regulations (e.g., GDPR, local laws).Manage and update employee data regularly to ensure consistency, accuracy, and security.Audit Support :
Review and update records periodically to ensure data integrity, preparing the organization for internal and external audits.Collaborate with HR and legal teams to ensure all data is audit-ready and compliant.Technology Optimization :
Support the adoption and effective use of HRIS (Human Resource Information System) and other HR tools to streamline and improve data management processes.Collaborate with the IT department to ensure HR technology systems are optimized for efficiency and user experience.HR Projects :
Assist in the planning and execution of various HR-related projects, such as policy updates, process improvements, and employee engagement initiatives.Help drive key projects aimed at improving HR practices, employee experience, and operational efficiencies.Cross-Functional Collaboration :
Work closely with finance, operations, and other HR teams (including portfolio company HR teams) to ensure alignment on key projects and company-wide initiatives.Foster strong cross-departmental relationships to achieve project goals and organizational objectives.Metrics and Reporting :
Collect, analyze, and report key HR metrics such as headcount, turnover, time-to-fill positions, and employee engagement scores.Prepare actionable insights and data-driven presentations for HR leadership and other stakeholders to inform strategic decisions.Compliance Monitoring :
Monitor and track compliance metrics, ensuring that HR practices align with local and international labor laws and company policies.Regularly audit HR processes to maintain adherence to regulations and mitigate compliance risks.Payroll, Benefits, and Tax Compliance
Assist in the preparation and processing of payroll, ensuring the accuracy of pay calculations, deductions, adjustments, and bonuses.Resolve payroll-related inquiries and liaise with payroll providers to address and correct discrepancies promptly.Benefits Support :
Administer the company’s employee benefits programs, including overseeing benefits enrollment, claims resolution, and the coordination of benefits with external providers.Act as a resource for employees regarding benefits queries, ensuring they have the information they need.Tax Compliance :
Ensure payroll processing complies with local, state, and federal tax laws, collaborating with finance teams to resolve any discrepancies.Support tax filings and assist in ensuring that the organization maintains tax compliance in all regions.Competencies

Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field. HR certifications (e.g., CHRP, SHRM-CP) are highly desirable.Minimum 3-5 years of experience in HR functions .Experience in working within a multicultural and diverse environment is an asset.Deep knowledge of labor laws, HR best practices, and cultural nuances that impact HR policies and practices.Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to build relationships with employees at all levels. Strong negotiation, conflict resolution, and influencing skills.Ability to navigate complex HR issues, apply sound judgment, and propose effective solutions that balance business objectives and employee needs.Time Management : Exceptional time management and organizational skills, with the ability to handle multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.Preferred Assets :
