Job description

Purpose of this position :

Enterprise Architect to establish Vision care R&D portfolio’s technology vision, strategy, and roadmap for optometric solutions, establish enterprise technologies and capabilities by researching industry innovations and trends, uncovering busi-ness use cases, and driving solutions to accelerate business outcomes for the R&D.

Primary duties and responsibilities”

  • Develop & communicate a comprehensive Architectural vision that aligns with Organization’s business goals & strategic initiatives.
  • Provide technical leadership & guidance to teams, ensuring adherence to Architectural standards, best practices & design principles.
  • Engage with stakeholders to gather requirements and feedback, ensure that architectural decisions meet business needs.
  • Establish & maintain governance frameworks to ensure compliance with architectural standards & practices across the organization.
  • Continuous improvement, Asses the effectiveness of current architecture and recommended improvements based on feed-back, industry trends and emerging technologies.
  • Documentation create & maintain architectural documentation, including models, diagrams and guidelines to support devel-opment efforts & knowledge sharing
  • Design and implement scalable, high-performance cloud-based architectures that meet business requirements.
  • Architect for cross-program, and cross-project Architecture strategies, opportunities, and problem resolution.
  • Support Solution development through providing, communicating, and evolving the larger technological and architectural view of the solution.
  • Shaping architectural vision and leadership of key initiatives, technical oversight of the functional portfolio, owning business relationships to internally influence, align, and drive business outcomes within our company growth strategy.
  • As an Enterprise Architect, you will work on transformational projects with-in Vision R&D to design cloud-ready platform architecture and application architectures, develop solutions in migrating, building, modernizing, and maintaining applications in Zeiss Cloud Platform, troubleshoot potential platform challenges, and more.
  • Responsible for definition of the enterprise architecture in accordance with the Company guidelines, local regulations & laws (Corporate IT, IT Security & Privacy).
  • Collaborate with Solution Architects and SW Architect to provide guidance on technical design solutions to be developed by the teams.

Job Description Template :

  • Strong understanding of enterprise architecture frameworks (e.g., TOGAF, Zachman).
  • Experience in budgeting, cost estimation, and financial analysis related to IT architecture and solutions.
  • Proficiency in cloud technologies, microservices architecture, and integration patterns.
  • Hands on Experience on the technologies .Net, .Net Frameworks, C#, Angular / React, JavaScript
  • Hands on expertise with Cloud Strategy (AWS / Azure), Distributed systems and SaaS applications, Data Platforms & Analytics OR AI&ML, Infor DevOps.
  • Proven experience in designing and deploying scalable cloud solutions using platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
  • Deep knowledge of microservices architecture and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Excellent understanding of cloud-native design patterns and best practices.
  • Experience with development of Cloud based systems with MS Azure & Standalone software solutions.
  • Experience in Continuous delivery pipelines & Devops capabilities. Azure Devops is preferred.
  • Establish critical Nonfunctional Requirements at the solution level.
  • Experience in developing regulated software and technical documentation (e.g., Software as a Medical Device - IEC 62304 & ISO 13485), preferably in an agile setup, and with medical standards such as DICOM, FHIR is of advantage.
  • Experience in the development of applications running under MS Windows Embedded OS
  • Experience in healthcare standards and regulations
  • Operate within the Economic Framework to validate the economic impact of Architecture / design decisions
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills, with the proven ability to develop audience appropriate communications across both business and technical domains. Ability to work autonomously in ambiguous situations.
  • Proven track record of delivering complex programs. Proven track record on delivering a technical / architectural roadmap at enterprise level and implementation.
  • Validated skills of strong learning agility and relationship building to inspire change using leading Tech.
  • Preferable prior experience in Agile or Scaled Agile complex product development environment.
  • Hands on Experience on the technologies .Net, .Net Frameworks, C#, Angular / React, JavaScript would be of great value.
