Key Responsibilities of a Medical Officer :
1. Patient Care :
Conducting physical examinations and medical assessments.
Diagnosing and treating a wide range of common illnesses, injuries, and
conditions.
Prescribing medications, treatments, and therapies based on diagnoses.
Providing emergency care in urgent situations.
2. Medical Documentation :
Maintaining accurate patient records, documenting diagnoses, treatments, and
progress.
Writing medical reports and providing updates to other healthcare professionals
when needed.
3. Preventive Healthcare :
Providing health education to patients about disease prevention, healthy lifestyle
choices, and managing chronic conditions.
Administering vaccinations and screening tests.
4. Supervision and Coordination :
Supervising medical and nursing staff in healthcare settings.
Coordinating patient care with other specialists, especially for complex or
multi-disciplinary cases.
Ensuring that medical protocols and guidelines are followed.
5. Emergency and Critical Care :
Responding to emergencies, such as accidents, medical crises, or sudden
illness.
Stabilizing patients before referring them for advanced care, such as to a
