What does a Water Operator do?
Picture a plumber fixing a burst pipe in your house. Now think about a leaking pipe in the street. Same problem. The only difference is you’re keeping your community’s water supply running.
As a Water Operator, you’re regularly outdoors. You’re digging trenches, inspecting pipelines, and repairing broken water services. You’re learning a collection of skills that can set you on your way to a technical, management or leadership role.
We have positions available north and south of the river in Perth based out of our depots in Balcatta Canning Vale.
Your main concern is keeping the water supply network running. That’s finding and fixing faults on pipes and joints. It’s upgrading the water supply network. It’s understanding the end-to-end water cycle and how water networks help your local community.
Mix in the supportive, family-friendly culture, the opportunity to add a nationally recognised qualification to your CV and a collection of fantastic perks / benefits (including 9-day fortnights) - and you’ve discovered a career with the Water Corporation.
