Automation Test Engineer - Cypress / Java

Key Responsibilities :

• Design, develop, and maintain robust automation test scripts for APIs to ensure their functionality, reliability, and performance.
• Design, develop, and maintain automation test scripts for user interfaces using either Cypress or Java with Selenium.
• Write automation code primarily using JavaScript.
• Execute automated test suites and analyze results.
• Identify, document, and track defects, collaborating with development teams for timely resolution.
• Contribute to the improvement and expansion of the automation framework and processes.
• Utilize testing methodologies and best practices to ensure comprehensive test coverage.
• Collaborate effectively with development, QA, and other cross-functional Skills & Qualifications (Mandatory Skills) :
• Experience : 4-8 years in QA Automation, with experience aligned to either the Intermediate (4-5 years) or Specialist (5-8 years) level.
• Experience with API Automation.
• Experience with UI automation using either Cypress OR hands-on experience with Java and Selenium.
• Proficiency in JavaScript.
• Strong understanding of software testing life cycle and automation best practices.
• Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Location : Skills (Secondary Skills / Plus Points) :
• Experience with TestNG (particularly if using Java / Selenium).
• Experience with Java (if not the primary UI automation language).
• Experience using HTTP clients for API testing purposes.
• Familiarity with CI / CD pipelines.
• Experience with performance or security testing.
