Job Title : Data Engineer (Contract-to-Hire)

Experience Level : 6 to 10 Years

Location : Hybrid - 3 Days Onsite (Pune, Bangalore, Noida, Mumbai, Hyderabad)

Work Timings : 11 : 00 AM - 8 : 00 PM IST (Flexibility required for 4-hour overlap with US business hours)

Type : Contract-to-Hire (C2H)

Job Summary :

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Data Engineer with 6-10 years of hands-on experience in data engineering and big data technologies. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Python, PySpark, SQL, and Spark SQL, and be capable of working in a dynamic, hybrid work environment. Flexibility to work with teams across global time zones, especially with a 4-hour overlap with US business hours, is essential.

Key Responsibilities :

Design, build, and optimize scalable data pipelines using PySpark and Spark SQL.
Develop efficient, high-quality code in Python for data transformation and processing tasks.
Create and manage complex SQL queries for data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL).
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including data scientists, analysts, and product teams to ensure alignment of data engineering solutions.
Ensure data quality, governance, and security best practices are implemented.
Monitor and troubleshoot data pipeline performance and resolve issues proactively.
Support production deployments, performance tuning, and maintenance activities.

Required Skills & Qualifications :

6-10 years of experience in data engineering roles.

Strong hands-on experience with :

1. Python (data processing, scripting)

2. PySpark

3. SQL (advanced level)

4. Spark SQL

Solid understanding of distributed computing and big data ecosystems.

Experience working in hybrid work environments.

Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

Must be willing to work flexible hours, including a 4-hour overlap with US business hours.

Preferred Qualifications :

Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) is a plus.

Familiarity with data warehousing and data lake concepts.

Knowledge of CI / CD for data pipelines.

Work Mode & Location :

Hybrid : 3 days a week work from office (WFO)

Available locations : Pune, Bangalore, Noida, Mumbai, Hyderabad

Employment Type :
