Job description

We are seeking to hire experienced Mid to Senior Level OpenText ECM Support Professionals to provide remote, on-call support for our Enterprise Content Management (ECM) system. The role involves supporting OpenText Archive Center & ECM solutions for document archiving across SAP and non-SAP systems.

This position requires working primarily in the AP time zone , with potential coverage for the EU time zone as needed. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with counterparts in the United States and Buenos Aires to ensure high availability, security, and performance of the ECM system.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide remote, on-call support for OpenText ECM solutions, primarily OpenText Archive Center .
  • Manage and troubleshoot document archiving workflows for both SAP and non-SAP systems.
  • Support OpenText front-end applications for non-SAP users, ensuring seamless access and document retrieval.
  • Perform installation, configuration, maintenance, and upgrades of OpenText Archive Center components.
  • Monitor and analyze system performance, troubleshoot application errors, and ensure high availability.
  • Work with SAP ArchiveLink and ILM (Information Lifecycle Management) for SAP document storage and retrieval.
  • Configure and maintain OpenText Archive Center repositories, retention policies, and storage management .
  • Provide root cause analysis (RCA) and resolution for issues related to document archiving, indexing, and retrieval.
  • Ensure compliance with security policies, access control, and data retention regulations .
  • Collaborate with global teams to implement new ECM functionalities, automation, and process improvements .
  • Document technical configurations, troubleshooting procedures, and best practices for knowledge-sharing and continuous improvement .

Technical Qualifications

Core Skills & Expertise

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience with OpenText ECM solutions, specifically OpenText Archive Center .
  • Strong understanding of ECM architecture, storage configurations, and performance tuning .
  • Experience integrating OpenText with SAP systems , including :
  • SAP ArchiveLink & SAP ILM (Information Lifecycle Management)
  • SAP Business Suite, S / 4HANA document archiving workflows
  • Knowledge of SAP Content Server & SAP DMS (Document Management System)
  • Expertise in non-SAP content archiving and OpenText front-end applications .
  • Strong knowledge of OpenText Archive Center repository structure, data retention policies, and indexing methods .
  • Experience with ECM security administration , including role-based access control (RBAC) and LDAP integration .
  • Proficiency in database management for OpenText repositories , preferably Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, or PostgreSQL .
  • Hands-on experience with storage backends , including SAN, NAS, and Cloud-based storage (Azure / AWS) .
  • Scripting skills for automation and administration using PowerShell, Python, or Shell scripting .
  • Understanding of Windows Server and Linux administration , as OpenText Archive Center runs on Windows or Linux environments .
  • Strong troubleshooting skills with log analysis, debugging, and issue resolution for OpenText components .
  • Knowledge of networking principles , including HTTP(S), TCP / IP, and secure data transmission for ECM deployments.

    • Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in large-scale, enterprise ECM environments .
  • Familiarity with OpenText Content Server, OpenText xECM, and Extended ECM solutions .
  • Experience with cloud-based ECM deployments , including OpenText in Azure / AWS / GCP .
  • Hands-on experience with disaster recovery, high availability (HA), and backup strategies for ECM platforms .
  • Certification in OpenText Content Server / Archive Center is a plus.
  • ITIL certification or experience with IT Service Management (ITSM) processes is a plus.
