API Support Consultant Job Description
Key Responsibilities :
- API Support and Troubleshooting :
- Provide day-to-day technical support for API integrations, including troubleshooting and resolving connectivity issues, data flow interruptions, and error messages.
- Collaborate with internal development and product teams to diagnose complex issues and escalate as necessary.
- Respond to and manage API incidents, ensuring quick resolution of client-facing issues.
- Design and implement scalable, secure, and efficient integrations between Infor ERP and third-party systems or custom applications.
- Develop / Maintain middleware or API bridges to facilitate seamless data exchange between Infor , Laravel , React , and Node.js applications.
- API Configuration and Setup :
- Assist clients in configuring their API environments, ensuring proper API authentication, security protocols, and settings.
- Guide clients through the API implementation and setup process, providing clear instructions and advice.
- API Documentation and Knowledge Sharing :
- Create and maintain clear, concise documentation related to API configurations, integrations, and troubleshooting procedures.
- Collaboration and Communication :
- Work closely with developers, engineers, and product managers to understand system changes and ensure smooth deployment of API updates and fixes.
- Engage with clients to understand their business needs and provide tailored solutions related to API functionality.
- Client Relationship Management :
- Build and maintain positive relationships with clients, acting as the primary point of contact for API-related inquiries and support.
Required Qualifications :
Educational Background :Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).Experience :5+ years of experience working with Infor ERP (preferably Infor CloudSuite / LN / M3 / Syteline) and its integration tools (ION, API Gateway, BODs, etc.).Strong experience with RESTful APIs, SOAP APIs, or other web services.Technical Skills :Strong proficiency in PHP (Laravel framework) and JavaScript frameworks , particularly React.js and Node.js .Solid experience with RESTful APIs , SOAP , JSON , XML , and message queues (e.g., RabbitMQ, Kafka).Experience with Infor M3 APIs.Familiarity with database technologies (MySQL, PostgreSQL, MS SQL Server) and data mapping / transformation .Soft Skills :Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to troubleshoot and resolve API issues.Excellent written and verbal communication skills to interact with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.Ability to manage multiple support tickets and tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.Customer-centric mindset with a focus on delivering high-quality service and support
