Dock Master

Job Responsibility :

Overseeing all operations at a dock including the safe and efficient docking & undocking of vessels, Ship Lift Facility and Ship traversing system.

Managing the docking process, space allocation, coordinating with ship crews, ensuring safety regulations are followed and maintaining over all condition of the dock facility.

Inspecting mooring lines, fenders and other dock equipment's for proper functionality.

Communicating with Ship captains to coordinate docking maneuvers and ensure safe berthing.

Monitoring weather conditions and assessing potential risks during docking procedures.

Overseeing routine maintenance of the dock, including repairs to fender systems, pilings and electrical systems.

Maintaining detailed records of vessel movement, dock usage and operational data.

Preparing reports on dock activity and any potential issues.

Managing a team of dock workers, assigning tasks and ensuring efficient operations.

Extensive experience in maritime operations, particularly with vessel docking and maneuvering, Ship lift and Ship Traversing System.

Good Communication with Strong decision making abilities to handle unexpected situations during docking procedures.

Education :

Preferably B.E / B.Tech in Naval Arch.
