Senior Software Engineer - PHP - PHP Group

Job Description We are looking for a PHP developer who can analyze system specifications and translate system requirements to task specifications for junior programmers. He / she must interact with the customers and understand their needs. He / she must be passionate about Open Source communities and philosophies. He / She must respond promptly and professionally to bug reports. He / she should be able to participate in Agile teams meetings including daily Scrum, design reviews etc. He / she must ensure Agile milestones and project schedules are met.

Required Skill Sets

• Expertise on LAMP Technologies [Linux, PHP, MySQL, Apache].
• Experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, JSON and jQuery.
• Experience on the Agile Methodology and best Agile practices
• Firm grip of Git-based source control, software coding & server maintenance best practices
• Knowledge of REST, JSON, XML, OOP, Dependency Injection, SOAP
• Personally responsible for production-level code, complete server management and troubleshooting.

Interpersonal Skills

He / she must be able to adapt to new environments and technologies. Good verbal and non-verbal communication is a must along with strong analytical thinking and problem solving skills.

Educational Qualification

Any graduate or post graduate degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering preferred.
