Data Catalog Description :

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Data Catalog Specialist to join our Data Governance team. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of experience in metadata management, data cataloging, and data governance initiatives. This role is essential in establishing enterprise-wide visibility and accessibility of data assets, enabling business and technology users to easily discover, understand, and trust organizational Responsibilities :

• Lead the implementation and management of enterprise data catalog tools (e.g., Collibra, Informatica, Alation, Azure Purview, etc.).
• Develop and maintain metadata and lineage documentation across various systems and data sources.
• Work closely with data stewards, data engineers, and governance teams to ensure accurate and up-to-date catalog information.
• Define and enforce metadata standards, policies, and procedures to support consistent data definitions.
• Enable data discovery, data lineage, and data profiling for business and technical Skills & Qualifications :
• Minimum 5 years of experience in data cataloging, metadata management, or related data governance functions.
• Hands-on experience with tools like Collibra, Informatica EDC, Alation, Talend Data Catalog, or Azure Purview.
• Strong understanding of metadata concepts, data lineage, data profiling, and data quality frameworks.
• Experience working with SQL, relational databases, data lakes, and cloud data platforms (AWS / Azure / GCP).
• Familiarity with data governance policies, compliance requirements, and business glossaries.
