Need Assessment and Livelihoods Development
- Understand the rural landscape of Nagaland, particularly the Eastern Nagaland region, by engaging with stakeholders to assess needs.
- Plan and implement the deployment and demonstration of livelihood solutions tailored to local requirements.
- Map, develop, and deploy emerging rural technologies to enhance rural economic development.
Engagement with Micro-Entrepreneurs
Work closely with micro-entrepreneurs and end users to understand their businesses, challenges, and needs.Facilitate backward and forward linkages to improve market access and supply chains.Understand and address technical challenges with machines, coordinating with vendors to ensure timely servicing.Financial Literacy and Bookkeeping
Assist micro-entrepreneurs in understanding cash flow management and maintaining bookkeeping records.Promote financial literacy and explore financial inclusion opportunities through local banks and microfinance institutions.Market Linkages and Supply Chains
Explore and establish market linkages and channels for efficient delivery of goods and services related to agriculture, textiles- Sewing machines, food processing and other livelihoods.Vendor and Stakeholder Coordination
Collaborate with vendors and suppliers to develop effective mechanisms for post-installation operations, maintenance, and troubleshooting.Technology Implementation
Provide field-level coordination for the implementation of technology solutions in pilot projects under various programs in Nagaland.Plan and execute training programs for end users in Meghalaya, ensuring skill development and capacity building.Capacity Building
Manage and build the capacity of local women entrepreneurs to enhance income generation.Organize and facilitate technology training programs for community members and other stakeholders.Documentation and Dissemination
Identify and develop success stories as case studies to demonstrate the impact of DRE-driven technology.Other Responsibilities
Explore new technologies and innovations to address rural development challenges.Support project planning, execution, and reporting while ensuring alignment with program goals.Qualifications
Minimum of 3 year of work experience in the Renewable Energy sector or in the development sector, Engineering -Technical and Technology background is preferred.Based out of Nagaland or experience working in Nagaland with good understanding about grassroots communities, languages, livelihood practices etc. will be preferred.Interest in solar energy DRE driven technologies and project implementations aimed at improving energy reliability and quality of life for underserved communities.Very good communication skills, both written and verbal.Willingness to learn, grow and develop at personal and professional front, at a rapid pace with a steep learning curve.Willing to travel extensively on sites for 15 days in a month when required.The candidate should be able to understand and analyse ongoing and past work in CES CAREs initiative at CES Foundation including priority areas, key projects / programmes / work themes.The individual should be able to gauge the external communication landscape of other organizations & influencers, in the energy access, Mini grids, livelihood, SDGs and allied workspaces.Additional Information
