Position : Director, Infrastructure Services

Role Purpose

The Director, Infrastructure Services, is a senior leader of the company’s Information Technology function

and will be accountable for planning, organizing and execution of services that will ensure the stable

operation & use of the technology infrastructure. The role’s primary responsibilities include developing,

maintaining, supporting, and optimizing key functional areas, particularly network infrastructure, server

infrastructure, DevOps, Cloud, Storage, data communications, desktop support and telecommunications

systems.

Core Accountabilities & Responsibilities

  • Ownership for India and Far-East based technology infrastructure teams that manage

servers, databases, network, storage, and operations.

  • Collaborate with global teams on design, implementation, and maintenance of high availability
  • systems with load balancing, redundancy, and clustering features.

  • Participate in the development of infrastructure roadmaps, budgets and priorities relative.
  • Provide input for the infrastructure components of technology projects and initiatives. Inputs will
  • be required on technology standards and approaches, vendor / software / hardware life-cycles,

    assessing information security risk, maintenance and upgrade strategies, performant use of

    infrastructure resources, sourcing (internal, out-sourcing, hosting and Disaster Recovery

    strategy (business continuity).

  • Manages all India based infrastructure and telecommunication vendors, achieving a reliable and
  • cost effective operation.

  • Drive performance governance by adopting / establishing key metrics to evaluate the effectiveness
  • and efficiency of the technology operations & project delivery.

  • Responsible for the daily management of on-going operations for the functional areas including;
  • resource planning, scheduling, utilization and prioritization of resources across services provided,

    planning maintenance activities, ensuring appropriate off-hours support and planning continuous

    improvement initiatives.

  • Responsible for all aspects of resource management (internal employees, outsourced) pertaining
  • to the teams in Bangalore. Specifics employee related activities include talent acquisition,

    identifying training needs to fill skill gaps, support career development, monitoring performance

    and providing coaching, performance management and compensation benchmarking. This role is

    also responsible for assessing the skills, training and planning for resources necessary to meet

    the future requirements indicated in the strategic application roadmap.

  • Develop / Participate in business case justifications and cost / benefit analysis for IT spending and
  • capital projects.

    Qualifications

    Education

  • Required : 4-year Degree in Computer Science or Information Systems.
  • Preferred : Master’s Degree in either of these fields or Master’s in
  • Business Administration.

    Experience

    Leadership

  • 15+ years related work experience.
  • 10+ years’ experience managing teams and directing IT operations.
  • Proven experience in managing global teams in an On / Off delivery model.
  • Proven technologist with experience in managing IT infrastructure including
  • servers, databases, network, operations in a rapidly growing and high

    volume transaction processing business environment

  • Good understanding and technical knowledge of Network, Cloud
  • Azure / GCP), DevOps, Database and Automation teams

  • Demonstrated ability to apply IT in solving business problems; ability to
  • employ a systematic approach to problem solving.

  • Demonstrated ability to strongly uphold & practice innovation, superior
  • performance, collaboration, customer focus and integrity.

  • Strong leadership skills.
  • Extensive experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative and candid
