Technician Dialysis :

Opportunity for Dialysis Technician for our hospital in Mahim on yearly fixed term renewable contract on hospital payroll.

Qualification : BSC + Diploma in Dialysis

Experience : Minimum 06 months

Brief Summary of Job responsibilities :

Perform various Dialysis procedures for the patient in OPD, Inpatient areas including ICU / PICU(under supervision)
To work in Shift amicably, closely liaison with various service provider teams including Colleagues, Supervisory staff, Doctors, Technicians, Attendants and other health professionals in a collaborative manner to enhance the functioning of the Department
To abide by Hospital Rules and Regulations so as to ensure department working is not hampered, visiting Patients not inconvenienced
Follow Quality Assurance programme for the Dialysis unit
Maintain high standard of medical ethics at all times and is self-motivated to increase level of understanding and knowledge of the field, disease, and new procedures as they evolve.

General Job responsibilities :

Perform the following procedure with Completion of documentation of procedure as per defined criteria

Hemodialysis

Isolated Ultrafiltration

SLED in ICU ( under supervision)

Plasmapheresis ( under Supervision)

Labelling of new Dialyzers & Tubings, Reprocessing and Preservation of processed Dialyzers & Tubings and Cross checking them before use.

Initiation / Termination with catheters (femoral / jugular / permacath) :

Cannulation / Decannulation

Monitoring patients on HD, BP monitoring

HD Machine & alarm response,

Response in trouble shooting / complication with patients & machine,

Understanding Patient Condition And Alerting Medical Staff For Any Emergencies

Routine operation & preventive maintenance of RO plant, Dialysis Machines and reprocessing machines like :

Reports equipment failures to the appropriate supervisor / Officer or Manager or biomedical team.

Preparation of Bicarb solution

Patient Related :

Daily consent for HD & Ensure payment before starting HD

Monitoring patients for dialysis package & reports for changes

Ensure privacy and confidentiality of patient / patient related information.

Other activities :

Management of Biomedical waste as per ICC guidelines

New Initiatives and miscellaneous activities as and when directed by Reporting
