Key Work Area

  • Creates technical information products according to group standards and deliver high quality content appropriate for the target audience.
  • Collaborates with documentation requester and knowledge carrier.
  • Collaborates closely with the Technical Author Manager, Technical Author Expert, Information Architect, and Technical Information Manager.
  • Maintains excellent communication and rapport with cross functional teams.
  • Reviews document requests and clarify questions with the concerned departments to ensure technical accuracy, on-time delivery, and quality well in advance.
  • Analyze information in terms of its relevance to the documentation.
  • Arranges information in modular form using topic-based single-sourcing methodology.
  • Tracks time spent on technical documentation projects.
  • Trains, advise, and support new staff regarding tools and processes

Professional Experience :

  • Experience of 4-8 years as a technical author and illustrator (individual contributors).
  • Relevant experience as a technical author and illustrator.
  • Proficient with modularized documentation (XML / DITA).
  • Strong knowledge of technical documentation and information management concepts.
  • Experience with PTC Arbortext Editor and PTC Windchill.
  • Experience in creating technical illustration with Adobe illustrator, PTC Illustrate, or IsoDraw.
  • Expertise with rule-based writing using Simplified Technical English (STE).
  • Strong organizational, planning and follow-up skills, and the ability to manage concurrent tasks and drive them to completion.
  • Strong personal drive with can-do attitude, and the ability to work without supervision.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with others.
  • Proactive behavior with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong oral, written and presentation communication skills in English (minimum B2 / C1 level).
  • Willingness to travel, domestic and international (less than 5%). Preferred :
  • Experience with Component Content Management Systems

    • Educational Requiremets;

  • Formal education in engineering or technical communications

    • Other Requirements :

  • Knowledge of elevator and escalator domain.
  • Contribution to the development and continuous improvement of technical authoring processes
  • Ability to communicate clearly to both technical and nontechnical audiences.
  • Good organizational skills, self-starter, quick learner.
  • Candidates from PCMC area or ready to relocate to PCMC (Pune)
  • Preferred Candidates who can join us within 30 – 45 day
