JOB POSITION

Carelon Global Solutions India is seeking a highly creative and meticulous Senior Software Engineer, who will be responsible for all day to day operations on Cloud for Databases. The incumbent will report to Manager – Communications and must understand the design process, liaising with multiple stakeholders to understand the brief and deliver all in-house design requirements, apart from coordinating with external agencies to ensure brand guidelines are followed.

JOB RESPONSIBILITY

  • Architect and deploy DB solutions in a environment on AWS
  • Manage the architecture and operational support of the DB infrastructure on AWS
  • The Candidate should be well versed with Oracle DB troubleshooting, along with-it other DB flavors are plus. Also should have experience on Mongo or Document DB
  • Ensure the Anthem cloud infrastructure is kept operational with minimal service-impacting outages
  • Research and evaluate DB technologies and tools to improve the operational efficiencies of a cloud-based environment on AWS
  • Assess and respond to network-related incidents
  • Work with application owners / groups to ensure proper DB and security standards are being followed for client projects and solutions
  • Develop documentation and maintenance procedures for DB infrastructure
  • Provide on-call support

Requirements

  • Possess strong analytical skills, organizational skills, attention to detail, and excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated experience in all manners of Cloud Database with multiple flavors, Network, Applications.
  • 4+ years of experience in IT.
  • Experience in Cloud DB Operations-AWS.
  • Certifications in Cloud environment
  • Hand-on experience on AWS services like RDS, Document DB, Aurora
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience working with technologies like terraform and Datadog is a plus.
  • Good understanding in basic networking
  • Bash / shell scripting and Perl / Python programming is added advantage.

    • QUALIFICATION

  • Bachelor-level degree in engineering, IT, data communications, telecommunications, computer science, or equivalent educational or professional experience and / or qualifications

    • EXPERIENCE

  • 5+ years of experience in AWS Databases cum public and private cloud infrastructure (AWS, Google Cloud, Azure, Databases, VMware, OpenStack, OpenShift), data centers, good understanding of business operations, expertise in relevant tools and technical skills

    • SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

  • Experience in Cloud Database Operations-AWS.
