Overview An IBM Sterling OMS Software Engineer would be an active participant in all phases of the project life cycle and will be required to work closely with an engineering, business, marketing, and operation teams to ensure all the support requests are addressed within a SLA with quality work. We're looking for someone who knows the IBM Sterling OMS framework and can do any activity within a scope of IBM as well as custom integrations associated with IBM Sterling OMS.
Responsibilities :
- 4-7 years of active experience with IBM Sterling OMS (Order Management Service) as a software developer, software engineer, or as a technical support.
- In-depth experience with Core Order management modules - DOM, GIV, SC, Platform, Payments, etc.
- Deep understanding of Integration concepts (REST, SOAP, Batch, SFTP, API Gateways).
- Good knowledge on providing end to end development solution and support with the quick response time.
- Experience in Java / EE, SQL, IBM DB2 and specifically in developing Java-based extensions and interfaces.
- To provide development and technical support for the Sterling Order Management in multiple environments — Staging, Pre-Production, and Production, etc.
- Prioritise and provide possible solutions on tickets / incidents raised by the business team, warehouse team and various other teams.
- Design and maintain detailed technical architecture documentation across a multibrand, multi-region Omni-channel environment.
- Partner with other technical teams (middleware, database, infrastructure, etc.) to create interface documents and mappings to ensure that OMS is built in a serviceoriented architecture manner.
- Identify and enforce overall architectural principals, framework and standards.
- Serve as IBM Sterling Omni channel and OMS subject matter expert working with the customers to architect the best-fit customer use cases for its business across multiple enterprise systems.
- Configuration / administrator level knowledge using IBM Sterling Order Management components, API's, related interfaces, and configuration.
- Experience in Distribution or Retail solution design is highly desired.
- Working knowledge of project management, agile methodology, and continuous improvement principles.
- Detail oriented, strong analytical, numerical, planning and reasoning abilities.
- Provide Root cause analysis (RCA) and report system issues to the development team and get them fixed based on impact.
- Monitoring order flow and proactively identifying and resolving issues.
- Creating reports based on the business requirement through automated PL SQL procedures.
- Pro-actively monitoring various inventory activities between different systems. Must and good to have.
Skills :
Strong knowledge of software development methodologies, tools and processes.Good command over XPath, Web Console, API, XML, JSON, SQL queries and scripts.Incident Management, Problem Management and Change Management.Hands on debugging, defect Analysis, and troubleshooting to provide resolution for recurring issues.Excellent in Providing technical and functional expertise to drive and resolve issues.Should be able to drive automation and bridges during critical issues.Have prior experience in eCommerce and the Retail domain will be an added advantage.Good knowledge of Sterling Commerce and its customisations.Prior experience on development and should be ready to provide 24x7 support during production issues, sale time or a need basis.Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.Strong ability to work in fast-paced environment and ability to multitask with ease.Flexibility to move across different languages, technologies, and frameworks.Experience working in an Agile / Scrum development process.Good communication skills.Benefits :
