Job Overview

TE Connectivitys Product Engineering Teams optimize existing products from information or input provided by marketing, customers, Operation Teams, Development Engineers or other employees. They maintain existing products, processes, and specifications including modifications for new applications consistent with manufacturing techniques and economies. They also initiate and implement programs to continuously improve quality, and cost, while meeting customer requirements and may support and implement product extensions to existing platform products to meet specific customer requirements. They are the key experts in the products they are responsible for at TE.

Responsibility :

• Development of optimized CNC program for New product. Perform activities concerned with validation of the design, and use DFSS methodologies to evaluate design for manufacturability feasibility of the product. Good knowledge on programming and handling Vertical Mills & CNC turning.
• Reviewing of PFMEA, PPAPs, and Standard Operating Procedures.
• Assist in all manufacturing at design and validation stages of the product development lifecycle, from conceptualizing new product ideas, developing engineering designs, prototyping, supporting production and rolling out new and improved products.
• Setup and fixturing requirements study, design and implementation as required from time to time on various projects.
• Work closely with the cross-functional teams to develop & execute new product development.
• Keep abreast of new technologies, materials, and processes and use the information to initiate cost-saving or product-enhancing projects.
• Contribute to achieving departmental targets specifically Delivery on Time, Quality, dimensional accuracy, targets for development and sustaining products.
• Carry out any other reasonable tasks as may be requested from time to time by the Engineering Manager.
• Observe Health and Safety regulations as laid down in company procedures and Government legislation.
