About the Role :

We are seeking a highly skilled SAP Finance & Control (FICO) Consultant to join our team.

  • As an SAP FICO Consultant, you will be responsible for implementing and supporting SAP Financial Accounting (FI) and Controlling (CO) modules, ensuring that financial processes are integrated efficiently with other enterprise systems.
  • You will work closely with business stakeholders to understand requirements, configure SAP solutions, and provide support for financial operations.

Key Responsibilities :

  • SAP FICO Module Implementation : Lead the implementation, customization, and configuration of SAP FICO modules (FI, CO) for clients.
  • Conduct workshops with business stakeholders to gather and document business requirements.
  • Configure SAP FICO modules to align with business processes, ensuring accurate and efficient financial reporting.
  • Financial Accounting & Reporting : Configure and implement various SAP FI components, including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Asset Accounting, and Bank Accounting.
  • Support the creation and maintenance of financial reporting tools to ensure compliance with financial standards and regulations.
  • Work on financial month-end and year-end closing processes to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Cost Management & Controlling : Configure and support SAP CO module components, including cost centers, profit centers, internal orders, and internal billing.
  • Design cost allocation processes and ensure that financial transactions are accurately reflected in the control structure.
  • Assist in the development of cost tracking and cost reporting tools for better financial decision-making.
  • Integration & Optimization : Ensure seamless integration between SAP FICO modules and other SAP modules (SD, MM, PP, etc.), optimizing end-to-end processes.
  • Work with business and IT teams to identify opportunities for process improvements, automation, and optimization.
  • Perform troubleshooting and resolve issues related to SAP FICO, including system errors, data inconsistencies, and integration challenges.
  • Support & Training : Provide ongoing support to end-users for SAP FICO issues and ensure that business processes are operating smoothly.
  • Deliver training to business users and provide documentation to ensure proper use of SAP FICO systems.
  • Work with the client's finance team to ensure that SAP solutions are fully understood and effectively utilized.
  • Testing & Documentation : Perform system testing, including unit testing, integration testing, and user acceptance testing (UAT) for SAP FICO functionality.

  • Document configuration settings, business process flows, and best practices.
  • Ensure that the documentation is kept up to date with any changes made to the system.
  • Technical Skills Required : SAP FICO Modules : Expertise in SAP Financial Accounting (FI) and Controlling (CO) modules, including configuration, support, and troubleshooting.
  • Experience in configuring General Ledger (GL), Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Asset Accounting (AA), Bank Accounting, and Cost Center Accounting (CCA).
  • Knowledge of Profit Center Accounting (PCA), Internal Orders, Product Costing (CO-PC), and Cost Object Controlling.
  • SAP Integration : Strong understanding of integration between SAP FICO and other SAP modules like Sales and Distribution (SD), Material Management (MM), Production Planning (PP), Human Resources (HR), etc.
  • Ability to design and implement end-to-end financial processes across various systems and modules.
  • SAP Reporting & Analytics : Knowledge of SAP reporting tools such as SAP Fiori, SAP BW, and SAP BI for financial and controlling reporting.
  • Experience in designing financial reports in SAP Query or Report Painter.
  • System & Data Migration : Experience in data migration activities from legacy systems to SAP FICO, including data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes.
  • Experience in cutover planning and executing Go-live transitions.
  • Customization & Enhancements : Experience with user exits, BADI (Business Add-Ins), and ABAP coding for SAP FICO module customization.
  • Knowledge of SAP workflow and ALE / IDocs for cross-system data transfer.
  • Tools & Methodologies : Proficiency in SAP Solution Manager, HP ALM, or other tools for project management and issue tracking.
  • Familiarity with Agile and Waterfall project methodologies for implementation.
  • Preferred Qualifications : Education : Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • SAP FICO certification is highly desirable.
  • Experience : 5+ years of experience in SAP FICO consulting or a similar financial role.
  • Previous experience with SAP S / 4HANA is a plus.
  • Project Management : Experience in managing or participating in large-scale SAP FICO implementation projects.
  • Strong understanding of project lifecycle, from planning and design to testing and go-live.
  • Soft Skills : Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to interact effectively with both technical teams and business stakeholders.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills to tackle complex financial system challenges.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks efficiently.
  • Strong team player with the ability to work independently.
