Job Overview :
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced ServiceNow Solution Architect (ITSM and CSM) to play a lead role in the delivery of ServiceNow implementation projects and drive strategic ITIL solution transformations within our enterprise. You will be responsible for the overall architecture, design, implementation, enhancements, and integrity of existing ServiceNow ITSM & CSM applications, as well as the implementation and development of new applications on the ServiceNow platform. This role demands strong communication skills, the ability to translate complex user requirements into robust technical solutions, and ensure alignment with corporate architecture and infrastructure standards.
Responsibilities :
- Provide subject matter expertise, act as a technical product advocate, and lead the design, development, and implementation of ITIL processes, ITSM (IT Service Management), CSM (Customer Service Management), Knowledge Management, Demand Management, and Release Management modules within the ServiceNow platform.
- Implement technology-specific best practices and standards across ServiceNow deployments, ensuring adherence to industry and organizational guidelines.
- Research and evaluate alternative technical solutions, recommending the most efficient, cost-effective, and scalable approaches for ServiceNow implementations.
- Propose comprehensive data model and design changes to existing processes and products, exerting significant latitude in determining the objectives and scope of assignments.
- Translate complex business requirements into clear, concise functional and technical requirements specifications for development teams.
- Develop detailed technical design documents for all ServiceNow implementations and enhancements, ensuring clarity and precision for development teams.
- Design and develop robust extensions to the ServiceNow data model, specifically in support of requirements for CMDB (Configuration Management Database), SACM (Service Asset and Configuration Management), and other integrated modules.
- Review and refine designs for optimal usability, thoroughly review testing scenarios, refine test cases to ensure application quality, and collaborate with users to review test results, ensuring they meet expected outcomes.
- Support and coordinate the scheduling and execution of ServiceNow releases, product upgrades, and the deployment of new technology features.
- Evaluate new ServiceNow features and produce comprehensive technical analyses and recommendations for their adoption or integration. Participate actively in product roadmap planning sessions.
- Produce and maintain detailed system documentation, including design specifications, maintenance guides, troubleshooting procedures, deployment plans, disaster recovery strategies, technical notes, and thorough testing documentation.
- Create and continuously maintain the current state of the ServiceNow platform architecture documentation, providing architectural control and governance over its evolution.
- Create well-structured, comprehensive test plans and coordinate all testing activities across various teams to ensure thorough validation of solutions.
- Translate complex technical details and architectural complexities to project stakeholders, ensuring they clearly understand the implications and effects of design decisions on various areas of the ServiceNow Platform.
- Lead ServiceNow platform upgrades planning and execution, minimizing disruption and ensuring smooth transitions.
- Participate actively in the configuration of new applications or suites during the planning, development, and roll-out phases, providing expert technical guidance.
- Contribute to the strategic development of new platform customizations, as needed, based on evolving customer needs and business requirements.
- Maintain an ongoing awareness and understanding of technological advances within the ServiceNow ecosystem; provide continuous research and assessment of new resources and technology available for the platform.
Requirements :
Strong leadership skills with the ability to lead assignments and technical teams, mentor junior team members, and contribute to building high-performing teams.Provide excellent customer service, demonstrating strong leadership, clear communication, effective problem-solving, and sound decision-making skills.Demonstrate strong prioritization, time management, and organizational skills to manage multiple complex projects concurrently.Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or other related fields.Minimum 7 years of Industry experience in IT, with substantial hands-on experience on the ServiceNow platform.Practical experience with agile methodologies and tools (e.g., Jira, Azure DevOps).Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to clearly describe complex technical solutions in terms of their business value and impact.ITIL Foundation certification is a MUST.Extensive hands-on design, development, and deployment experience with the ServiceNow platform, covering ITSM, CSM, and other relevant modules.Ongoing awareness of the latest tools, techniques, and best practices related to ServiceNow and IT Service Management.Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing with both technical and non-technical staff across all levels of the organization.Strong attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and quality in all architectural and design deliverables.Ability to work well in a collaborative, team-oriented environment, fostering positive working relationships.Experience with leading geographically separated customers and managing onshore / offshore teams effectively.Ability to interact cross-functionally on matters that require coordination across the organization and collaborate effectively with other groups, voluntarily sharing information and expertise.ref : hirist.tech)
