Apigee API Management

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Apigee API Management Consultant with over 6 years of expertise in Apigee Edge and Apigee X platforms. The ideal candidate will have strong business and technical acumen in API design, development, exception handling, and implementation strategies. This role requires hands-on experience in developing API proxies, reusable shared flows, and security frameworks while leading technical teams through multi-phased delivery projects.

Must-Have Skills (Mandatory)

• 6+ years of experience in API Management with Apigee Edge and Apigee X.
• Strong expertise in designing API proxies, API products, portals, apps, and administrative tasks (KVM, caches, flow hooks, TLS keystore updates, user roles, virtual hosts setup).
• Experience in developing and maintaining API proxies based on consumer needs, including enhancing existing APIs.
• Hands-on experience in building reusable shared flows for security, transformation, logging, and error handling.
• Strong understanding of REST APIs / RESTful Web Services and API development best practices.
• Experience conducting requirements gathering workshops and leading solution design processes.
• Ability to guide and mentor technical teams through complex multi-phased delivery projects.
• Knowledge of software development processes and tools for testing & troubleshooting APIs (e.g., Postman).
