Role Description :
This is an exciting contract opportunity for a skilled and experienced Python Automation Engineer to join our team in either Bengaluru or Chennai.
You will be responsible for developing and implementing robust automation solutions, with a strong emphasis on leveraging Python and Robot Framework for test automation.
A key aspect of this role will also involve troubleshooting and resolving network-related issues.
Your daily responsibilities will include designing, writing, and executing automated test cases, ensuring the quality and reliability of our systems, and collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to maintain and enhance our automation frameworks.
Responsibilities :
- Design, develop, and maintain automation scripts using Python and related libraries.
- Implement and integrate Robot Framework for comprehensive test automation across various system components.
- Develop and execute detailed test cases, both manual and automated, to ensure thorough test coverage.
- Identify, analyze, and troubleshoot network-related issues, working collaboratively with networking teams to resolve them
effectively.
Contribute to the development and enhancement of existing automation frameworks and processes.Ensure adherence to quality assurance practices and standards throughout the automation development lifecycle.Collaborate effectively with development, QA, and operations teams to integrate automation seamlessly into the CI / CD pipeline.Analyze test results, identify defects, and work with development teams to ensure timely resolution.Create and maintain clear and concise documentation for automation scripts, frameworks, and test results.Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in automation, Python, Robot Framework, and networking.Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality and adherence to best practices.Qualifications :
Strong skills in Process Automation methodologies and best practices.Proven experience with various Automation tools and technologies beyond Robot Framework (e.g., Selenium, Playwright, etc.) is a plus.Proficiency in Troubleshooting and resolving network-related issues, including understanding of network protocols (TCP / IP, HTTP, DNS, etc.) and basic network diagnostics.Solid experience in creating and executing Test Cases for functional, integration, and system testing.Comprehensive knowledge of Quality Assurance practices and standards throughout the software development lifecycle.Proficiency in Python programming language, with experience in developing automation scripts.Strong hands-on experience with the Robot Framework for test automation, including creating test suites, keywords, and libraries.Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with a strong attention to detail.Ability to work on-site in either Bengaluru or Chennai.Beneficial Qualifications :
Relevant certifications in automation (e.g., ISTQB Automation Engineer) or networking (e.g., CCNA).Experience with network automation tools or scripting.Familiarity with CI / CD pipelines and integration of automation frameworks within them.Experience working in an Agile development environment.Knowledge of other scripting languages (e.g., Bash, PowerShell)ref : hirist.tech)
