The Manager - IT Infrastructure is responsible for overseeing and managing the organization's information technology infrastructure, ensuring its stability, reliability, and security
This role involves leading a team of IT professionals and collaborating with other departments to ensure the effective operation of all IT systems, networks, and infrastructure components
Key Responsibilities : Strategy and Planning : Develop and implement strategic plans for the organization's IT infrastructure to meet current and future business needs
Evaluate and recommend new technologies, tools, and systems to enhance the IT infrastructure and optimize operations
Collaborate with senior management and stakeholders to align IT infrastructure initiatives with organizational goals
Infrastructure Management : Manage the day-to-day operations of the IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, storage systems, and data centers
Ensure high availability, reliability, and performance of infrastructure components through proactive monitoring, maintenance, and capacity planning
Implement and maintain security measures to protect the organization's IT infrastructure and data from unauthorized access or breaches
Team Leadership and Development : Lead and manage a team of IT professionals, including hiring, training, mentoring, and performance evaluation
Foster a collaborative and high-performing work environment, promoting teamwork and knowledge sharing
Provide guidance and support to the team in troubleshooting complex infrastructure issues and implementing solutions
Vendor Management : Evaluate and select external vendors and service providers for IT infrastructure projects or ongoing support
Negotiate contracts, service level agreements (SLAs), and pricing terms with vendors
Monitor vendor performance and ensure compliance with agreed-upon service levels and contractual obligations
Incident and Problem Management : Respond to and resolve escalated infrastructure-related incidents and problems in a timely manner
Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions to prevent future incidents
Develop and maintain documentation, including standard operating procedures (SOPs) and knowledge base articles
IT Governance and Compliance : Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards related to IT infrastructure
Establish and enforce IT policies, procedures, and best practices
Conduct regular audits and risk assessments to identify potential vulnerabilities and implement appropriate controls
Budgeting and Cost Management : Develop and manage the IT infrastructure budget, including forecasting and cost optimization initiatives
Monitor expenditures, track financial performance, and report on budget variances
Identify opportunities for cost savings and recommend strategies to optimize IT infrastructure investments
Qualifications and Skills : Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field (Master's degree preferred)
Proven experience in managing IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, storage, and data centers
Strong knowledge of infrastructure technologies, such as virtualization
