Job Description :

Silcosys is seeking a highly skilled Emulation Engineer with over 5 years of experience in hardware emulation and verification.

In this role, you will be responsible for enabling pre-silicon validation of complex SoCs using industry-standard emulation platforms.

You will work closely with design, verification, and software teams to deliver high-quality silicon solutions.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Develop and execute emulation test plans for SoC and IP-level validation.
  • Set up and maintain emulation environments using platforms such as Veloce, Palladium, or Zebu.
  • Translate RTL designs into emulation models, including partitioning, synthesis, and debug.
  • Collaborate with verification teams to port UVM-based testbenches to emulation.
  • Support software and firmware teams with early software bring-up and debug.
  • Analyze emulation results and work with design teams to resolve issues.
  • Optimize performance and debug capabilities of the emulation setup.

Requirements :

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electronics, Electrical, or Computer Engineering.
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in hardware emulation or FPGA prototyping.
  • Strong knowledge of RTL design (Verilog / SystemVerilog), simulation, and emulation.
  • Hands-on experience with industry-standard emulation tools (Mentor Veloce, Cadence Palladium, Synopsys ZeBu).
  • Familiarity with scripting languages like Python, Perl, or TCL.
  • Good understanding of SoC architecture, bus protocols (AXI, AHB, etc.), and embedded software interactions.
  • Excellent analytical and debugging skills.
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities.

    • Preferred Qualifications :

  • Experience in software-driven emulation or hybrid co-emulation.
  • Exposure to system-level validation or post-silicon bring-up environments.
