Business Unit Head (VP) is supposed to spearhead and grow Global Audit and Assurance service offerings. This critical leadership role will be responsible for the strategic direction & leadership, client engagement, delivery assurance, operational excellence, business growth and talent development within the Audit and Assurance Business Unit. This senior leadership role is pivotal in scaling our third-party outsourcing solutions and building strong partnerships with accounting and advisory firms worldwide.
Strategic Leadership :
- Define and execute the global strategy for the Audit & Assurance business unit in alignment with company objectives.
- Conduct risk assessments and develop plans tailored to the unique aspects of the Audit outsourcing clients.
- Work closely with Business Development, Talent Acquisition, HR, Content and Marketing teams to support business goals, offer thought leadership and resource planning.
- Represent the company and the Business Unit at industry events, webinars, and conferences.
- Provide timely and accurate management reports and MIS to senior leadership, providing comprehensive insights, performance track record, future growth plan and areas for improvement.
Service Delivery Excellence and Innovation :
Ensure the consistent delivery of high-quality audit and assurance services that meet and exceed client expectations and regulatory requirements.Establish and maintain robust methodologies, processes, and quality control frameworks across our delivery centers.Optimize resource allocation and utilization to maximize efficiency and profitability.Drive innovation and the development of new and enhanced audit and assurance solutions leveraging technology, automation, AI and best practices.Client Relationship, Growth & P&L Management :
Oversee the management of client engagements, ensuring effective communication, risk management, and timely delivery.Act as the main point of contact for escalated client issues and work collaboratively to resolve them and ensure high client satisfaction.Strategically host client visits to showcase the Business Unit's capabilities, infrastructure, and talent, fostering trust and strengthening relationships.Oversee the development of compelling proposals, collaterals, presentations, and marketing materials to effectively position the Business Unit's capabilities.Own the P&L for the Audit & Assurance unit, driving revenue growth, operational efficiency, and profitability.Partner with the Business Development team during client onboarding to thoroughly understand their needs and expectations, while also proactively engaging with existing clients to identify and pursue cross-selling opportunities.Submit the team's monthly CPE hours, along with your own, to the HR team for upload into Keka.Conduct both cold and hot reviews of audit files to ensure quality and compliance.Hold monthly feedback calls with clients to gather insights and improve service delivery.Talent Management and Development :
Recruit, mentor, and manage a high-performing audit team, fostering a collaborative and results-driven culture.Foster a culture of continuous learning, professional development, and knowledge sharing within the Business Unit.Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) for the audit outsourcing function and regularly report on the team's performance against these metrics.Identify talent gaps and implement effective recruitment and retention strategies.Develop training materials and deliver sessions on updates to auditing standards.Write blogs and white papers on various industry-related topics.ref : iimjobs.com)
