Senior Staff Software Architect

Summary

As a Senior Staff Software Architect within PCS Service Technology Team, you will be responsible for owning the architecture, design and implementation of Software features & functionality of next generation remote service technology platform. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software architecture, Design patterns, design & debugging skills. He / She will be responsible for ensuring the robustness, scalability, and reliability of our platform.

Roles and Responsibilities

In this role, you will :

• Lead and coordinate the domain technical and business discussions relative to future architecture direction across the product portfolio or product line.
• Analyze design and develop a roadmap and implementation plan based upon a current vs. future state in a cohesive architecture viewpoint.
• Review and / or analyze and develop architectural requirements at domain level within product portfolio or team.
• Contribute to the development of software and data delivery platforms with reusable components that can be orchestrated together into different methods.
• Lead the evaluation of emerging technology, industry and market trends to assist in project development and / or operational support activities.
• AWS Expert, certification preferred (Associate or Professional).
• Strong knowledge of Design Patterns, Java programming language, AWS and Unit Testing frameworks.
• Hands-on experience in Designing, developing, and maintaining Java-based applications using SpringBoot and other related frameworks.
• Hands-on experience in developing microservices-based applications and RESTful API.
• Experience with Containers - Docker / Kubernetes, Helm.
• Experience with Python & AWS IOT Technologies (IOT Core, Greengrass) is a big plus.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Education Qualification

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or STEM Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) with 14 years of experience.
