We are seeking a highly experienced and motivated Data Governance (Privacy and Security) Specialist to lead and support our data privacy, protection, and governance initiatives. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in data compliance, privacy regulations, and cybersecurity standards, and will play a key role in designing and maintaining robust governance frameworks that ensure compliance with both local and international data protection laws.
Key Responsibilities :
- Develop, implement, and maintain data privacy and governance policies aligned with global and local compliance regulations (GDPR, HIPAA, CCPA, etc.)
- Oversee risk assessments, privacy impact assessments, and data mapping initiatives
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to embed data protection and privacy controls within the organization
- Ensure compliance with international standards such as ISO 27001, ISO 27701, ISO 27018, NIST, CIS Benchmarks, etc.
- Monitor and respond to regulatory changes impacting data privacy and protection
- Drive adoption and usage of unified data governance tools, preferably Microsoft Purview
- Evaluate and deploy data discovery and classification tools to enhance visibility and protection of sensitive data
- Liaise with legal, IT security, compliance, and business teams to address data protection risks and ensure alignment with strategic objectives
- Conduct privacy and cybersecurity training programs for internal teams
Key Requirements :
Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related discipline8-12 years of experience in data privacy, protection compliance, or a closely related fieldIn-depth understanding of international and local cybersecurity laws, data protection, and privacy practicesHands-on experience with cloud platforms, preferably Microsoft AzureCertifications preferred :1. CIPP (Certified Information Privacy Professional)
2. CDPSE (Certified Data Privacy Solutions Engineer)
