Our client, located in Dandenong South, is an international company that supplies flooring and hardware tools to retailers. For the past 34 years, they have been passionate about sourcing and manufacturing new and advanced products to the market. Due to their success, they have recently partnered up with one of Australia’s largest home improvement retailers to provide carpet installation services.

As an Operations Manager you will be responsible for overseeing the carpet installation division which has now been established for 12 months. This division has grown extraordinarily on a national basis with 6 office staff, 50 installers, 4 warehouses and achieving a turnover of $5mil per annum.

The core focus is to ensure all service level agreements are met and are exceeded to ultimately achieve a high level of customer satisfaction. This will be achieved by successful running of the day to day operations which will include; liaising with major clients on a regular basis, leading the division, managing inventory and developing and maintaining systems and processes.

To be successful in the role you will have :

• 5+ years solid experience as an Operations Manager
• Strong customer focus
• Confident in communicating effectively with major clients and staff at all levels on a regular basis
• Strong project management and co-ordination skills with capacity for sound strategic thinking
• Experience in hardware and flooring is advantageous
• The flexibility to travel interstate at least 2 times a month
