API Integration Specialist

Job Description :

Key Responsibilities :

• API & Integration Development : Design, develop, test, and deploy complex integration solutions and APIs using the Software AG webMethods suite, including Integration Server, API Gateway, Universal Messaging, and Process Engine.
• API Management : Implement and manage API lifecycles, including API creation, publication, security, monitoring, and versioning using webMethods API Gateway.
• Requirements Analysis : Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to understand integration requirements, define technical specifications, and ensure solutions align with business needs.
• Data Mapping & Transformation : Develop and maintain data mappings and transformations between various data formats (e.g., XML, JSON, flat files, EDI) using webMethods Designer.
• Troubleshooting & Support : Provide expert-level support for integration issues, perform root cause analysis, troubleshoot complex problems, and implement effective resolutions.
• Performance Optimization : Optimize integration solutions for performance, scalability, and reliability.
• Security Implementation : Ensure the security of APIs and integrations, implementing authentication, authorization, and encryption mechanisms.
• Documentation : Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation for integration designs, configurations, API specifications, and troubleshooting guides.
• Best Practices : Adhere to webMethods best practices, coding standards, and established integration patterns.
• Cross-functional Collaboration : Work effectively with internal technical teams (e.g., developers, architects, database administrators) and external Skills & Qualifications :
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical field.
• 5-8 years of hands-on experience with the Software AG webMethods suite.
• Strong expertise in webMethods Integration Server for developing services and flows.
• Proven experience with webMethods API Gateway for API management.
• Experience with webMethods Universal Messaging (UM) or Broker for messaging solutions.
• Proficiency in designing and implementing RESTful and SOAP web services.
• Solid understanding of XML, XSD, XSLT, JSON, and related web service technologies.
• Experience with database integration (SQL, JDBC).
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills.
• Strong communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills
