Role : Storage Validation Engineer
We are looking for an experienced Storage Validation Engineer who has strong hands-on experience in storage technologies, server architecture, and manual system testing.
The ideal candidate should have solid technical expertise in storage protocols, OS platforms (Linux / Windows / VMware), and scripting for automation.
Key Responsibilities :
- Execute manual functional testing of storage products and server systems.
- Perform test planning, design, and execution of test cases related to server and storage validation.
- Configure and validate HBAs, CNAs, and test various storage protocols such as SAS, SCSI, SATA, iSCSI, DAS, NVMe, SSD, and HDD.
- Handle Zoning, LUN masking, and LUN configuration and representation in complex test environments.
- Install and validate Linux, Windows, and VMware operating systems.
- Generate detailed bug reports, track issues, and report on test progress.
- Collaborate with development, lab, and DevOps teams to troubleshoot and isolate issues.
- Contribute to test automation using Shell, Python, and optionally Golang or Selenium.
- Use tools like Git and Jenkins for version control and CI / CD automation.
Required Skills :
Strong understanding of Server Architecture, HBAs, and CNAs.Deep expertise in storage technologies : SAS, SCSI, SATA, ISCSI, DAS, NVMe, SSD / HDD.Proficient in OS concepts on Linux / Windows / VMware.Practical experience in functional and system testing.Hands-on experience with LUN zoning, masking, and storage configurations.Skilled in writing and executing test plans and test cases.Scripting knowledge in Shell and Python.Exposure to storage arrays like HPE (3PAR, Alletra, Primera, Nimble), DELL EMC, and Cisco UCS.Familiarity with networking basics.Hands-on experience with test automation using Python, Golang, Selenium.Experience working with CI / CD tools like Jenkins and version control systems like Git.Ability to bring up servers and deploy firmware and operating systemsref : hirist.tech)
