About the Organization :

Swaniti Initiative is looking for an experienced, passionate, self-driven, and qualified researcher who is eager to lead engagements of the organisation in the space of climate policy space with working knowledge about subnational engagement. The associate will be expected to come up with knowledge products, deliver the curated proposals. The position provides a tremendous opportunity to get exposure to policy processes like climate policy research, drafting proposals for state government entities, drafting reports etc.

Job Summary :

We are looking for an experienced professional who is keen on taking up an Associate role in a project focused towards issues like energy transition, renewable technology, and overall climate work. The work will be focused on developing high-quality research documents, along with need assessment, situation analysis, data analysis, brainstorming with relevant stakeholders, and collaborating with the allied departments or stakeholders of the Government. The Associate will be expected to come up with critical research inputs, contribute to the management significant policy recommendations. The position provides a tremendous opportunity to get exposure to multiple domains while working with the policymakers and allied departments of the government.

Roles & Responsibilities : -

• Providing technical assistance and knowledge support to key government bodies on climate change research on subnational topics etc.
• Support the project lead with drafting proposals, RFPs, etc
• Developing high-quality research documents on the topic of concern relating to the environment, renewables, climate, and energy.
• Support state team members with impact report, case study documentation, etc.

Demonstrated ability to work in teams. Critical thinking ability. Or Fellow - Ph.D. or Master in relevant fields with at least 3-5 years of experience. Ability to work well independently and collaboratively as needed. Must possess a self-starting and entrepreneurial outlook for leading research. Must be fluent in writing and speaking English, demonstrated through prior research reports or academic publications; knowledge of additional languages is an asset. Previous experience of working with the public sector companies (Preferred) Must have the skill of stakeholder management Previous experience of organizing the workshop / roundtable conference A passion for making a positive impact in the world. Skills and Attributes Required Experience in Business and Finance sector Ability to read and analyze corporate documents and annual reports Proficient in using quantitative skills with R or any other coding languages Ability to learn about the new sector and quickly adapt to changes Skilled in policy analysis Prior experience conducting literature reviews Excellent English writing skills.
